I have a funtastic day of finishing up some shelter inspections and then squaring away the paper work and trying to get home before the roughly foot of snow they are predicting starts crashing down on us here.
It was nice having another warm body to snuggle with last night though. :)
Everyone is pretty much planning on a snow day tomorrow so my wife is dumping a ton of work stuff on her computer to do at home tomorrow.

I've already made 2 big pans of brownies and 2 of raspberry oatmeal chocolate chip bars this morning and have to finish up a report.
Some agents from my office are going to Ronald McDonald House this morning at 10 to serve lunch. My part was the above goodies. The other half is going along with. I think there will be 10 or 12 of us.
It's already 55 here...supposed to be in the mid 60's with 70 tomorrow. Rumor has it that it may stop raining sometime today. Right now, we have wicked fog. Snow is predicted for Sunday following more rain to ice.
Does anyone know how to contact D6? Wonder how his wife is doing..... :(

Supposed to be nice-ish here today. Have some errands to run, and I might head up to Maryland to hit the "good" mall, as my daughter is coveting a pair of Chuck Taylors she saw there. I shoulda planned ahead and asked ont of the TX peeps to send me some Cowboys sutff, as I all I can find here is Redskins (puke), so now I need to figure out something else to get.
I really need to plan a trip to the grocery store soon, too! :thatsright:

Getting ready for the second wave of storms to dump another 4-5 " of snow in the foothills. We still have about 2" left from the first storm, which has turned into Sierra Concrete.
As of this fri I'm on vacation till the 5th. :cheersmate:

I had accounting this morning. The test was postponed until after break, since class was canceled today. I did a whole financial statement only looking at my notes a couple of times. :yahoo: On the test we're just going to be given general info to make up the journal entries and then the financial statements all with blank paper.
I mailed my first bad check off to the DA today.
It's this strange foggy/misty/light rain right now. It sucks.

I had my parents over for breakfast and getting ready for another day at work. 75 degrees today...very nice...my A/C might just get a break today. :innocent:

I had accounting this morning. The test was postponed until after break, since class was canceled today. I did a whole financial statement only looking at my notes a couple of times. :yahoo: On the test we're just going to be given general info to make up the journal entries and then the financial statements all with blank paper.

I'm closing at work today, and opening tomorrow. (3-11 and 8-4) So I won't be around much. However, tomorrow is the big holiday luncheon at work, where the store manager is cooking deep fried turkeys and another is making all sorts of desserts and side dishes (sweet potato casserole should be defined as a DESSERT, with the way they're making it this year).
And after work tomorrow, I'm going to pick this up from UPS:

I should have clarified. "Merry Christmas to me from my dad." It was my Christmas present from my dad. :) (He likes to buy something electronic for Christmas every year for all us kids (My sis also got a Toshiba flatscreen for her new house, and my brothers are getting a bunch of games for their XBox360. Boys are much easier to keep entertained. :p ). I WAS looking at something 4 inches larger and twice the price (26 inch LG flatscreen that I originally wanted turned out to be a piece of crap, randomly shutting off and the dvd player it had had major issues as well :(). My dad actually picked the Toshiba out, as he was making sure I got a GOOD tv, and helped me look around to find something that he felt was worth it.

Nah...Valley Mall in Hagerstown. It's not much, but it blows doors on the local "mall".

Generally they prefer if you pay your criminal fees or court costs with "Good" checks, but Kudos to you for living on the edge. :innocent:

This woman bought a car and her sister wrote a check for the down payment ($1000). That's what I sent off to the DA. Dallas County doesn't think too highly of bad checks.
This was the first time since I was promoted to this position that I had to do this, but I wasn't handling this problem the sales manager was "handling" it. :whatever: He obviously doesn't know how to get people to pay up like me.

Yes I know the basic accounting formula and debit/credit balances. I do work in an accounting office.
It's the fact that I'll be sitting there with 3 blank pieces of paper and I'm worried I'm going to blank out on the format.

Is that where all the outlet stores are? I've never been there, but have heard about it.
Hagerstown is just a hop skip and jump from me (I'm about 45mins southeast of there). We should do lunch sometime. :)

Sitting around, doing absolutely nothing today. Ordered pizza for dinner and did some organizing and cleaning around the haus. I suppose I should call my family and find out if anyone has made any plans for Christmas.

Incredibly, debk's son further south and west of here in Nebraska, has it even worse, and it's plenty bad up here, on the roof of Nebraska.

He called me about 5:50 my time on his way into work.
While I was talking to him on a 10 minute drive, he was in rain, sleet, snow, hail. I could hear it hitting the windshield.
Told me the weather in Nebraska was bipolar....
He drives a Tahoe, so I hope he will be ok driving home when he gets out of work.... :(
(this is his first winter in Nebraska)

Home from work. Won't be on long, because I have to be back at work at 8 am. At least I get to be one of the first to enjoy the holiday luncheon being put together for the employees :hyper: (I'll either get 11 am-12 noon break or 11:30-12:30... we get one hour breaks if we work 7 hours or more).
Tomorrow's also payday and I get my new tv after work. :cheersmate:
I can't wait to get out of this town and go to Jacksonville for Christmas (and treatment...YAY! :( )

I finished a bit of Christmas shopping tonight.
I had to look high and low but I finally managed to snag a reasonably priced 13" TV/DVD combo for the Mancub's lair!
And spent another 250 bucks because my wife only had ONE thing on her Christmas list. :(
Few odds and ends and stocking stuffers and I'm ALL done.

Snow is melted, the mountains looked awesome today on my way to work.
