WASHINGTON (Map, News) - About 20 people have protested the war in Iraq by tossing shoes at a fellow demonstrator wearing a prison uniform and mask of President George W. Bush outside the White House.

The group yelled, "This is a goodbye kiss from the people of America!" They also arranged along a curb about 120 pairs of shoes tagged with the names of Iraqis who have died as a result of the war.

Medea Benjamin, of the national peace group CODEPINK, says the protest was organized as a show of solidarity with Iraqi journalist Muntadhar al-Zeidi (MOON'-tuh-dahr ahl-zay-EE'-dee), who was jailed after throwing his shoes at Bush during a news conference in Baghdad on Sunday.

The protesters on Tuesday delivered a letter to the Iraqi embassy calling for al-Zeidi to be released from jail.

It's breaking news that as many as 20 of them got off their backsides to throw shoes, as futile a gesture as it was.  (I emailed a pic of my foot in support)

It's breaking news for the DUmpMonkeys , because it gives them hope that one day, they too, shall leave the confines of their parents basements.

So in mid December a bunch of idiots remove their shoes. This is about as much news as yesterdays trip to the outhouse.

I sure wish these idiots would come up here to North Idaho and do that! The wind chill is down to 12 below and it's snowin' like hell!

At least I could get a good laugh in the middle of this mess!   :-)

The 'tards just don't get it......suppose that "reporter" had thrown his shoes at Saddam...what do you think the results of that would be?

If he survived, he probably woulnd't have a hand to throw with or feet to put shoes on.

Just a guess.

Amazing how quickly the Code Pinkos have fallen.  Gone are the days when they could sit in the gallery of Congress as invited guests of high powered officials.

Now all they are left with is throwing shoes in sheer frustration at a man who thwarted them at every turn.

Their agita gives me much happiness, Tx, and I rather suspect that it does the same for you as well.
