I figured as long as I was celebrating I'd share my favorite recipe with everyone. I got this off the net (don't even remember where anymore) a few years ago and has now become a tradition. I get requests to make these and/or to share the recipe all the time.
1-1/2 cups GOOD tequila (I use one that's 100% agave)
1/2 cup Grand Marnier, Gran Gala or other good orange liqueur
1/3 bottle of beer like Bud or Miller
1 can frozen lemon or lime-aid concentrate
1 BIG squirt of Real Lemon
1 BIG squirt of Real Lime
At this point I pour half into another container and refrigerate until I'm ready to make another batch otherwise it overflows my blender when I add ice, but it's optional.
Add ice (or ice/water) to fill blender. I blend until the ice is just very tiny pieces but you can also add enough ice to and blend to make them slushy or just serve on the rocks.
It's hard not to sip these really, really, really fast.

I never would even imagine adding beer, even in small amounts but it sounds interesting. (and you get request so it's obviously good) May just have to try that soon.
Oh, and congrats on your 1000th post. Keep it up! :cheersmate:

I dunno why but I've never been a big fan of Grand Marnier. But other than that, sounds good!
I also like strawberry or raspberry 'ritas. Especially when you just picked them out of your yard yourself... :hyper:

Congrats on the 1k posts. I don't drink cocktails, but if I did I'd toast you with that one.

How does it compare to Chili's El presidente margarita? Those are my favorite!

Wootage to you!
Do a thousand more now. :)

Sounds good...I just may give it a shot....Can we replace triple sec for grand marnier?

I don't see why not...I've never used it, but I have used Southern Comfort instead and that was pretty good.
