In keeping with some of the "odd news" threads of lately:
Residents concerned for their children
MERIDIAN, IDAHO -- A Meridian family woke up Saturday to an explosion in their front yard that was followed by a visit from police.
Around 2 a.m., Rhandi and Marc Aber were asleep in bed when they heard the explosion that took out an inflatable Christmas decoration.
Meridian Police told the Abers that the people who did this used a chemical based explosive to blow a hole at the base decoration.
Chemical marks and several holes now riddle the lower portion of the reindeer decoration.
But it's not the expensive decoration that has the homeowner's concerned.
"I can buy another one of them. My concern is people going around and blowing stuff up in people's yards, and it could potentially not go off and have a kid go out and pick one up," said Marc Aber.

I put my money on that being the work of drunken college students.

I don't know why, but just the headline alone made me giggle. Only at Christmas can one find stories of exploding inflatable decorations and mishaps involving holiday cooking and nudity. :cheersmate:

Ditto. Drunk college students like to blow stuff up, if memory serves.
