Why can't Blago or Pat Quinn appoint Carol Moseley Braun or Adali Stevenson (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x4655706)

III or some other Democratic blue ribbon type candidate for the senate seat?

I sure don't want to see an open election!

Carol Moseley Braun...a "blue ribbon candidate".... :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Ralph, I suppose it all depends on what particular kind of livestock competition might have awarded that ribbon....

Mosely-Braun was voted over allegations of corruption and this DUmmie wants her appointed?  :banghead:  Of course these DUmmies don' want an open election, because they know all eyes would focus on  the Corrupt Chitcago machine and make the election a little more honest.  That would give the downstaters at least somewhat of a chance.

The DUmmy is not really seeing what is happening here.  It  is not WHO is appointed, it is WHO does the appointing.

If there is any kind of a trial, the new fuhrer -- and most importantly his handlers -- will be pulled in by their Chicago thug suit neckties.  This can NOT be allowed.

I give it 50/50 that Brago gets the Foster treatment if this goes to the full legal distance.

If you're offering even money, I don't think you'll get any takers here on that one.

I'm thinking the odds would have to be around 2:1 in favor of a mysterious Blagodent at this point, and likely to rise.
