If you get a paycheck (or used to) then you need a union

I don't care what you do. If you work for someone else - or even for yourself - you need a union.
Maybe this battle in the War On Labor can turn into a recruiting drive. Unionize EVERYTHING.
It is possible. The climate is right.
Yep I'm going on strike until that lazy ass boss of mine gives me more money. I'll make him do all the work and see just how much I need me.

1. Personally, I would love a union
However, many in my field (engineering) are a little...hostile...to unions.
As an engineer I can say that the only engineers that were pro union were engineers who should have chosen another career. Typically they did lousy work, didn't get promoted and felt that a union was the answer.

8. **** That. I Was Thankful As Hell When I Was Promoted Out Of The Union. Lord Help Our Economy If
every job was unionized. It would be a disaster.
For some companies and types of jobs unions are important and needed. For many others they're nothing but a detriment and completely unnecessary.
I don't know how he doesn't get the granite.

I for one think that all tenants should organize and force all landlords to rent them apartments at a dollar amount they can afford and if that doesn`t cover the cost of utilites (unfair to make a tenant pay for needed things like a phone or electricity) then so be it.
Husbs is making a run at being the stupidest thing on the planet. :mental:

Yeah, I NEED them to force themselves upon my money so they can sit on their asses at the union hall with their feet propped up while their subjects pay them tributes.

He and dirt are in a close race............but then dirt is productive. Dirt grows stuff.
So, I guess he wins. He's dumber than dirt.

A world where everyone was a member of a union is one I'd love to sit on a cloud and watch. I wouldn't want to participate because it would be the mose dysfunctional planet that ever existed, but it would still be fun to watch. I predict everyone would be dead within 5 years.

Yeah, then you could go on strike against yourself until you give yourself better wages and bennies.
I just did that. I went into my office and told myself that I will go on strike if I don't pay myself more. We got into quite a shouting match and I told myself that I could stick that lousy job where the sun don't shine.
As of today I'm on strike, I've forced myself to pickup the work that I'm not doing, and my cat is looking at me really funny.

Not to mention the sparkling husband primitive himself denies union carpenters, union electricians, union painters, union plumbers, union manual-laborers income by (a) doing much of the work on his real-estate rental properties himself and (b) as the sparkling husband primitive has hinted at, hiring under-the-table non-union labor to do other things.

Why is it so hard for people to understand that the unions are the sole reason the auto industry is in this mess?
