The former American football star had been found guilty of six charges by a jury in Las Vegas in October.
Before sentence was passed Simpson told the court he was sorry. He had been confused and admitted he had been stupid.
"In no way did I mean to hurt anybody, I didn't want to steal from anybody," he said. "I just wanted my personal things."
Simpson kidnapped two sports memorabilia dealers by holding them in a room at the Palace Station hotel and casino.
He took a gang of five men to the hotel to reclaim what he said were items stolen from him by dealers Bruce Fromong and Alfred Beardsley.
Four of the gang with him accepted plea deals on the charges and agreed to testify for the prosecution.

Not enough, but at least there is some justice out there...
Maybe there is something to karma after all.
-
From watching it, it sounded like he has to spend 1 year in county and a minimum of 5 years in state and he currently has 64 days served.
-
I wonder how many cartons of smokes he'll be worth... :evillaugh:

A whole bunch. IMO, he'll probably have to get his own "protection" in prison, via buying different guys off.
Someone will get through.

Yep -- karma's a bitch.

Too bad the Enquirer won't have photos of Bubba's "wedding night". I'd be curious to see what OJ's dress looks like.

I wonder? Who is going to look for the REAL killer of Nicole and Ronald Goldman now that O.J. is out of the picture for the next 9 years minimum??
I have an idea!
They can pay ME to do it. I’ll spend the next 9 years on the golf course in Florida looking for the REAL killers… :-)
That’s what O.J. did… :rotf:

Send OJ off to Sheriff Joe's jails, where they have tents, moldy food, and sandstorms. :evillaugh:

Thats county digs. OJ was awarded State facilities.
I got a feeling the conviction is going to be overturned on appeal. All the perps getting plea deals to testify against OJ makes it look like justice wasn't an issue ,get OJ was the game plan.

As if that is a bad thing. Give Larry and Curley a deal, and convict Moe. It was Moe's brainstorms that caused the problems anyway.

Remember, appeals are based on matters of law, not fact. The way the DA lined up the witnesses isn't an issue as long as he acted within his/her prosecutorial discretion. I don't see many appellate issues here.

Yes but usually they pick one out of a group to offer a deal not everybody but one. Usually the first to talk gets the deal.
Some legal experts see that as a potential problem. There as been talk also of if not an outright overturning of the verdict at least a vacating of the sentence due to confusion
