The saving grace is that I got juuuuust enough sleep last night that I feel somewhat human. I watched what should have been a mediocre movie last night and it turned out to be REALLY kick butt! White Noise 2, with Nathan Fillian and Katie Sackhoff. I got it because I love both of the actors but I did NOT expect the movie to be so well done.
Laundry and bookkeeping today and trying to get ready for the weekend getaway to the waterpark hotel.
I might pop in a DVD mid-day if things are as quiet as I think they will be. I still haven't gotten to Wanted yet, which I understand actually might have something other than Angelina Jolie's bottom in it. :-)

I haven't seen it yet, but does it need to have anything more than her bottom in it? We watched Batman: The Dark Knight, last night. Not bad, Bale is better than Clooney was by far.
15 degrees this morning and about 1/2 inch of snow on the ground. :( The sun is shining, though.

Just got outta work, and i'll be heading to bed soon. I need to get to the store this afternoon to get some ingredients for chili. Then I'll cook it tonight, and put my sons new crib together.
I really hate mid shifts. On my days off I still gotta sleep all day, so I get to spend very little time with my family.

I have an eye doctor appointment this afternoon to see if I kept the UVeitis away. Sometimes I feel it is gone and sometimes I feel it is back. It is so hard to tell but I do know that my vision is still blurry in that eye but my pupil is still dilated. I stopped the dilating drops two weeks ago and the doctor said it would take about two weeks for it to go back to normal so perhaps that is why my vision is still blurry.
Not to turn this in to a whinny thread but I think I have bursitis in my right shoulder. I have been having pain on and off for a few months but the last three days I have been working on our christmas tree and yesterday evening I thought I was going to die (slight exaggeration :p), I can't tell you how painful this is. It is really bad at night when I go to bed and if I roll over to that side it will wake me up. At first when it started the pain was in my collar bone, then over the past few weeks it feels like it is more in the joint that connects the collar bone and the shoulder. I walk around with my shoulder "shrugged" because if I relax it the pain is terrible. Also when I bend down to pick up a load of laundry to put in the washer it is extremely painful.
Anyway, I put a call into my rheumatologist yesterday and didn't hear back from them (I actually spoke to his assistant). I have an appointment with him on the 17th but I don't know if I can wait until then, hopefully he will just call in something like Feldene (an anti-inflammatory) until I see him on the 17th. Ibuprofen doesn't help at all. If the eye doctor says my eye is still clear and I get what ever is wrong with my shoulder fixed then I will be back to normal FINALLY.
Tonight is my oldest daughters orchestra concert and my youngest choir concert. My parents and husband are going to go to the orchestra concert and I am going to the choir concert as they are both at the same time. :whatever: I really wanted to see my daughters orchestra concert because it is suppose to be really cool. :(
I did get the christmas tree finished yesterday. BIG mistake getting a 9 ft tree, that sucker is HUGE and takes up way too much space. I didn't put all the Hallmark ornaments on it because I was so sick of working on it (like I said earlier, I had been working on it for three days). Perhaps I will take a picture and post it later.

I just stashed a roast in the crock pot for dinner tonight.
The little guy going into a "Bed" crib finally?

Flexing my work hours today to do surveillance this evening. Our local malls having been getting raped on auto thefts and car burglaries, so we're going to try to get a handle on that.

Not to turn this in to a whinny thread but I think I have bursitis in my right shoulder.
I have had that bursitis in my shoulder before and it hurts like hell. I usually end up getting tendinitis with it, too. Drugs help but you know what helps me the most is an ice pack a few times a day.

I think the rain may have passed for today. That means I get to go outside and do some work (when everything dries off). Chilly today.

I had a total shoulder separation and trashed the whole thing when I was 13. As I've gotten older it bothers me under the shoulder blade. The best thing I have found for it is 3 or 4 Advil and laying on one of those gel ice packs. I will go to bed with one at night and it really does help, it's hard to find time to do it during the day, but I do if it's really bad. It's my right shoulder and I'm extremely right handed, so once it's aggravated, it can stay that way for a while. Hope you are feeling better soon, BEG....with all there is to do at this time of year, not feeling well only increases the stress.
It's raining here again today....good thing it's in the 40's or we'd have snow up to our tushes! Amazingly we are still in a drought.
Working on reports....have 9 due by 10am tomorrow. Still trying to get a contract complete for a supposed closing tomorrow....don't think that will be happening. Just love it when the buyer's agent doesn't exactly present the facts accurately .... :censored:. And have a new one to get in the MLS...hope it sells before Christmas! And I'm praying that an offer is coming in on the one I have out in the hinterlands.....anyone want a getaway place out in the foothills of the Smokies on 5.85 acres....such a deal I have for you!
We have a business Christmas cocktail party to go to this evening........and then to my friend's niece's high school Christmas Choral concert.
-
BEG, that sucks about your shoulder. :(
It's really freaking cold today, I had to upgrade from my usual flip-flops to loafers.
I made it to accounting today and now I'm at work. Tonight I'm going to the Christmas Parade of Lights in Grapevine. I'm looking forward to it. Then depending on when I get home, I'm thinking of vacuuming. I'm thinking there will be people at my house Saturday, so I need to straighten up a bit.

I feel for you, BEG. I had a rotator cuff thing going on(still is), but for a week or two it was terribly painful and tha tpain, depending on how you move, radiates to other places like you said. Still feel it when I do weights so I've lightened the load on some things and taken out any work for the rotator cuff all together. For a while I couldn't do pushups or anything with the shoulder. I feel for you! It is excrutiating--you are not exagerating by any means. :-* You do have to rest it though, sweetie. As best you can around the house. :-*

My wife had a rotator cuff injury and they did a shot with a huge needle that resolved it almost imediately.
She said it hurt like hell but the anti inflamatories had her almost 100% the next day.
-
Cloudy and blah today...last "warm" day in the 40's...after to day we are barely above freezing for a week or so.
Woke up with a headache today, and haven't been able to kick it...blech.
No plans to do anything exciting today...more Nutcracker ticket sales tonight.
-
Sunny and a bit chilly, but I can't go anywhere. I got sick early this morning (no, the toilet was not needed)... I had a massive headache wake me up and I was bawling and scared my room-mate. :( I'm okay. Doctor told me to just take one ibuprofen (only thing that really works for me) and get to his office in the morning for a check-up.
I'm currently exploring with Firefox 3...this is going to take some time getting used to, but I like it.
-
Warmer than usual, if you consider 45 "warm" but that's only because the wind is coming up from the south, meaning a storm is coming in, probably tonight.
More "Death by Powerpoint" training today and tomorrow. Amazingly I'm looking forward to getting back to the plant. Some days I'm feeling like WE's avatar.
-
I stopped at Angelina Jolie's ass, what did I miss?

That is why I won't go to the mall, I am afraid of being raped.
I hope you have a safe night while making it safer. :cheersmate:

My mom had a shoulder replacement a year and a half ago. It was a year after she broke her arm right up top, under the ball in the joint. She was in a lot of pain the whole time, until after she recovered from her surgery.
She tells people she's bionic.

My aunt has those for her knees. She usually has to get them two or three times a year.

Ohh ouch!!!! The doctor called this morning and told me he would call in Feldene and to stop the ibuprofen (you can't take ibuprofen while you are taking feldene). I had three left from when I had my knee thing so I started taking it today. The thing that helps me the most is taking a shower, I can even blow dry my hair after I take a shower. When I wake up in the morning and by evening there is no way I could do the same motion with out taking a shower first. Our heating pad crapped out last night when I finally decided to use it and my husband went out and bought me a new one. You can also do moist heat with it, I'm going to try that tonight and see if that helps more than just the heating pad alone. I haven't tried icing it yet, I'll try that as well.
Just got back from the eye doctor, my eye is still clear (woo hoo) although my cornea is a shriveled up prune (not really) but it is very dry from all the steroid drops I have been using. He said that is why my eye has been burning and feeling like the UVeitis has come back. He gave me some drops for that and told me to use them all the time. He gave me some brand (I forget the name) but told me that Refresh PLUS is the exact same thing so I picked some up at the store and gave my mom the ones he gave me, her eyes have been bothering her as well. They are just lubricant drops so it can't hurt her. He also gave me some gel stuff to use at night. I get to go down to twice a day on the steroid drops for two weeks then down to once a day until I see him again in January. The true test will be once I am totally off the pred forte (steroid drops). Oh and by the way, he looked so hot. I swear he is the hottest doctor I have ever been a patient of. My neurologist is a close second, not because he is as hot as my eye doctor but because he is almost a GOD to me. He literally saved my life and I have some sort of psychological attraction that isn't healthy because of it. I know that it is all in my head and that I probably see a psychologist for it. :p
Tomorrow night is my husband's Christmas party for work. They were suppose to have it at a fancy hotel but my husband and the other VP decided to make it much more low key because of all the lay offs at his work and are having it at an English Pub. I am so glad, I am sick of dressing up for these Christmas parties and feeling uncomfortable. I bought myself three new sweaters today at Dillards and I'm going to wear one of them tomorrow night with my "good" jeans and some boots.

Is this the sick thread ??

It's a half sick half well thread....for me at least.

Sweet Dee is my date to my company Christmas party Saturday night. She asked if she could wear jeans, and I said "Oh hell no, this is a fancy affair, prom like even."
Then I did tell her yes, I mean seriously, it's in the showroom of the dealership.

LOL I was going to offer her my "funeral dress" to wear when I read the first line. That was what I was going to wear if it was a "fancy affair". It's HOT. :p

Damn, I need new glasses. I misread that as being in the showerroom of the dealership. That would be more fun, anyway.

Have you seen the people that work at a dealership? I'm talking sales men and techs. No, a showerroom party wouldn't be pleasant more like grotesque.

I'll show it to you the next time you come over...you will concur.
I just took an overdoe of my feldene. I couldn't remember if I had taken it so I just took it and then remembered I did take it about an hour ago. It was going down my throat as I remembered taking it. I called the Target pharmacy and asked the pharmacist if my kidneys or liver were going to explode or anything. She said the maximum dose is 20 mg a day, my dose is 20 mg. :thatsright: She said not to take it tomorrow but that I might get a stomach ache and feel like my heart it racing. I am such an idiot.

I do stupid stuff too. At least I made it to the right class today. Both professors have had a good laugh over the whole situation.

I haven't decided if thursday was worth it yet.
