We already knew the majority fired up the indo. They say it pretty regularly over there.

Yeah, that;s a surprise.  ::)

It is rather evident most of them smoke something.  Drugs arrest mental and emotional development.  My guess is most of them have smoked one drug or the other since they were very young.

Sometimes, they even surprise me with their self-parody.

I suspect that a fair percentage of the No votes should be in the Yes column now that the DUmmies have been reminded that there are no secrets in their votes.

You know, some time ago, maybe about this time last year, one of the primitives with a really stupid screen-name--NothingShocksMeAnymore or BeHereNow or SomethingsGottaGive or somesuch really stupid screen-name--posted something about "being in touch with nature," in the sense of "listening to nature."

Or "being one with nature;" that ancient hippie thing.

"Listening to nature" of course is an eminently credible phenomenon; our peasant ancestors did, the Native Americans did it, animals do it all the time.  Eastern European peasants still do it all the time, and I have no doubt Chinese peasants still do it all the time.

Me, I'm not a "nature person," mostly because being born and raised and living in Nebraska, I'm surrounded 24/7/365 by a gluttonous surfeit of nature, and one can have too much of this sort of thing.

But I rather suspect I'm more "in tune" with nature, than any of the nature-seeking primitives.

To be in tune with nature, to "listen" to nature, demands a sharpness of mind, a conscience unenslaved by intolerance and Hate, cerebral-cells unclogged with drugs, licit and illicit.

In other words, a clear head.

Many primitives oftentimes express a longing, a yearning, for that which I myself have, but the primitives are never going to get it, with all their mood-altering pharmaceuticals and escapist drugs.

Perfectly stated Frank.

Living out here in the middle of no where has many shortcomings at times but the serene part can`t be matched anywhere or by any mind altering drug.
