It's 19 degrees and I have a yard full of leaves to clean up...again. I "get" to spend all day with my "friends" the leaf blower, weedeater and mower. I think I'll wait till the temp gets up to freezing before I start.
-
Helped out the co-op today. Got my produce home. Have the sauce for tonight's lasagna simmering on the stove. Sister and the boys are coming over for dinner tonight. I need to do some laundry and vacuum but otherwise, pretty relaxing today.
-
Heading out to meet my girlfriend for our Saturday running.....starting lunch at Bravo's, then to Sam's, KMart, and start getting stuff for TurkeyDay.
It's cooooooooooold out there!!!!!
Have a good day everybody!!!

:rotf:
72 degrees and sunny here today...
-
34 degrees today with about 10 degrees of windchill.
And it ain't even winter yet. :(
Lazy day so far. Got the wife home last night and she is OFF work for the next 8 days! :yahoo:
I think we are going to inflict the Mancub on his big sister and go see The Quantum Of Solace at the theater. I have high hopes for this as the last one was not only the best Bond movie I have ever seen, it is one of my top 10 films of all time.
-
I slept in extra late today. I'm thinking of making French toast. A friend gave me a bunch of hoagie bread and I think that would work well for French toast. Plus, I actually have eggs and milk.
Then later I'm thinking of terrorizing my cats by vacuuming.
-
High Temp of 58 low of 52 and partly cloudy here in Central Texas today. Good football weather. My CRS is engaged today but I think The Cove Bulldawgs High school football team plays a 5a Div II semifinal game today.
-
Okay, I've been distracted. I'm now trying to find my school texts online...I'm trying to find a way not to have to spend over $300 for this term.
-
Sounds like everyone's having exciting Saturdays ;) Rock on!! hehe

Yes! And I've done absolutely nothing today. Well, except I made some French toast. I gotta say, it was delicious.

I got my hair done this morning. 'Cause I'm fancy ;) Then I napped. Twas glorious!

You know I haven't gotten my hair cut in over a year. But it doesn't look bad. And the girl that had done my hair for years quit (well over a year ago). Plus, I'm liking the letting it grow out nice and long.

It's already ridiculously long. Stop being such an over achiever!!

I need a haircut, but the redhead with big boobs doesn't work there anymore. Now it's no fun.
And I had to work today, so it looks like I'm going to miss out on my friend's birthday party. (http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff68/kayaktn/smileys/mad.gif)

You should see the assistant manager at the grocery store down the street. She'd give the porno lunchlady a run for her money, and hers are real.
(I think I'm in love).

Don't mock his love!! Sheesh.

I can't remember my last haircut yet it always looks the same. I think it's because it's been growing at the same rate it's been receding for years.
:p
Cold here too and the heats too low. ("free" steam heated apartment that I have no contro over)
-
Steely I love star wars and all star wars related things (sans the prequels....ewwww). Lovin' the icon.
Shut up, I'm a nerd. ;)

I picked up a couple of space heaters (http://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-HZ708-Electronic-Filled-Radiator/dp/B000BCEQ2A) last year. They're awesome.

Don't mock his love!! Sheesh.
Yeah, I'll just spend all my lunch money on Viagra and then she'll leave me for someone with a cooler lunchbox.

Wouldn't snuggling work better? Gotta go green, save electricity and what not ;)

Yeah, but Monty gets fussy when I snuggle with him.

He's more of the "lady I'll sit here on the sofa, but no snuggling" type.

I'm a nerd for sure. Moderate Star Wars geek though I've seen them all a bunch. My avatar is more of a warning to people who might respond to me that my sense of humor is a bit off beat. IOW I tend to do and say things that amuse, well... mostly me LOL. (http://itsatrap.net/)

I crack myself up all the time. Which really doesn't take much, I'm easily amused :)
I've been forewarned, and I like it! lol :)

Learn something new every day.
The fun part I learned was that with a radiator in every room (conected to a furnace in the basement) the combined sounds of turning gears and hissing steam and hammer like knocking noises it feels like a factory full of oompa loompa's are laboring away at my apartments heat.
Still, when they are really cookin, it can be 10 below and I can walk bearfoot on my hardwood floors with ease.

Ahh, I got dinner on the stove. Since I skipped out on the usual Saturday drunkfest last week, my attendance is being most especially requested today.
-
<---wishing he could drink tonight...
But alas, work calls, even at time-and-a-half until midnight tonight, and double-time until 7 AM, plus shift differential.
I did manage to get the laundry finished this morning, drink a growler of beer, and torment the animals until I fell asleep on the couch around noon. It's not bad working nights, it's the going back to days that's going to suck for a couple of days until I get my clock straightened up again.
Look for me at the breakfast place outside the plant gate just after 7 tomorrow morning. I'll be the one eating Eggs Benedict and washing it down with a beer.

I'm having a hard time wanting to get off the couch. It's cold out there! lol

Coffee, black. Switching to Red Bull around 2 AM. Will see if I can get through tonight on fewer than 3 of them.

Right now, water. In approximately an hour and a half, Miller Lite.

Agreed. I'm worried that I'll actually have to wear real shoes and socks instead of my flip flops tonight.

I could set my watch by your drinking schedule ;) hehe
And I wore flops this morning, ain't no thang ;)

Yeah when there's no Red Stripe to be found! heh ;)

Evening everyone. My sister, BIL, and two rugrat nephews just left my apartment. We consumed lasagna, salad, some terrible garlic bread, and a fantastic apple pear crisp for dessert. The adults also indulged in wine of which I am still consuming. I don't see any point in wasting the rest. I will have no problem finishing it off. :-)
I have Tropic Thunder and am considering watching that tonight. But I don't know yet.
-

+1 on the Red Stripe.
Welcome by the way.

Red Stripe is okay for marinating cocktail shrimp. Other than that, I haven't found a use for it.

Well, lemme see...this morning after work I had a 1/2 gallon growler of Moat Mountain Apfel Beer, and tomorrow after I get home I'll likely have the other growler of Smoke House Porter. They do all their own brewing, and since I don't get up to Conway very much, I enjoy it while I can.
Failing that, there's Sam Adams, Red Hook, and the occasional Arrogant Bastard if/when I can get it. I actually try seasonal beers too. Summer is always good for Sammy's Cherry Wheat, and Long Trail Blackbeary Wheat rocks, along with Shock Top.
But soon I'll be switching over to some winter beers like Sam's Winter Lager and some local stuff I found (Shipyard Brewery out of Portland ROCKS). While I used to get a lot of Sierra Nevada and Anchor Steam, not so much now that I'm on the East Coast.
So no, I'm not a big fan of the "fizzy yellow piss water".
-
I actually prefer Fat Tire or Shiner Bock, but Saturday night is community beer. You bring a 12-pack and everyone shares.
-
One of the reasons why when I go out or hang out with a group of beer drinkers it's the one time I'll buy the variety packs of beer. There's something in it for everyone. Otherwise I pick only the ones I know I'll like. I'm not big on the IPA's for some reason, even though I like strong beer.

I came to this thread late. It is an ungodly cold 55 degrees outside. It has been in the 50's all day. I had to break up our cocktail table to burn for heat. It was 6 feet long and weighed over 200 pounds. It was commissioned by Elgin B. Robertson for his living room in 1956. It cost him $4000.00, which equals
$4,000.00 in 1956 had about the same buying power as $31,504.48 in 2008.
Annual inflation over this period was about 4.05%.
Oh well. I needed heat.

Left "us" or CC?
Both. Probably because of something you did ;) hehe

awwww, how's he doing?

Great, he's sleeping right now, after a nice long drive home :cheersmate:
He's learned quite a few more phrases and words too! He says "I Love You!" as soon as he steps-up now!
Woot! Glad to hear he's getting better with talking. :-)

He also now says "Want to Play?" when he wants attention!
Too cute! :-) Wish I could hear/see him while he's at it. (hint: get a video camera. :p )
