Nebraska Police Arrest 'Butt Bandit' Vandalism Suspect
VALENTINE — Authorities said they've arrested a suspect in the rash of so-called "Butt Bandit" vandalism cases.
County Attorney Eric Scott said a 35-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday morning. Formal charges have not yet been filed. Some vandal had been skipping from one building to another at night, pressing his naked buttocks, groin or both on windows.
Store owners, church workers and school janitors have had to wash lotion and petroleum jelly off the windows he selects.
Local residents found some humor in the strange brand of graffiti and had dubbed the vandal the "Butt Bandit."
Valentine Police Chief Ben McBride called it "the weirdest case I've ever seen."
Glad they finally "cracked" the case.

Anybody you know, Frank?

DU name?

Well, damn, it's about time.
They've been trying to nab him for more than a year.
And Valentine's got only circa 2600 people, the largest city in northern Nebraska between South Sioux City on the east and Chadron (about 5000) to the west, for 400 miles.
It wasn't exactly like they were looking for a needle in a haystack.

I'm glad they've caught that ass clown. :-)

Why didn't the town just turn the other cheek?

Oh, and in other news from Nebraska, the state legislature yesterday (Friday) changed that child-abandonment law.
One used to be able to dump any minor child, up to the age of 19 years, at a hospital, police station, or fire station, with no repercussions.
Parents from all over the country were dumping not infants, but their troublesome teenagers, in Nebraska. Teenagers from all over the country, from Michigan to Iowa to Florida to only God knows where else, were dumped here.
The law is now that one can dump an infant up to 30 days of age.
Any older than that, and Nebraska's going to come down hard.
So be wary; the law went into effect at 12:01 a.m. today.

We need rules like that for politicians. If we don't like/want 'em in the first 30 days, we get to dump 'em.

Its gonna be a pretty rough time for the "Butt Bandit" in jail.
He's going to have a lot of friends...
Really. In the criminal pecking order, just where does pressing butts on windows fit in?
Warden: Wells boys, we have a new citizen here at the big house. I'm sure we'll all give a warm welcome to the infamous, "Butt Bandit."
