Don't "date." You will find what you really need in a more pedestrian way -- at work, church, the grocery market, etc.

You know, if I'm correct in assuming our esteemed colleague lars' occupation as "truck driver," he's always going to have a "wife problem."
The deal about truckers' wives is that they really really really like the wads of cash he brings home from his work.
However, they don't like him being gone so long.
They never seem to understand that unless he's gone a lot, there's no wads of cash to bring home.
Such wives want it both ways, but in real life can have it only one way, one thing or the other, not both things.

Congrats man.
Go slow and cautious into the night.

Tell me about it. I own an expedited trucking company. The company is so small that I'm one of the drivers. My wife does like the money, but that has been less recently than it was last year when freight levels were higher. She does want me home more than she wants the extra money though, so I'm looking to expand and take on some other owner/operators so I can drive less and be home more often, basically doing more dispatching from home and spending less time on the road. I don't have any desire to be "freed."
-
I work directly with trucking companies/owner-operators. I get asked at least once a day if I wanna learn to drive one.
I hate tellin' them I'm blind. They's good people when they're not pissed about money.

Ok lars...I'm gonna be the first one to say....Go gitcha some strange! :-)

Great news, Lars! My advice, chill for awhile, and then studiously avoid any serious entanglements for the next couple of years. It's real easy to dive right back in the boiling oil when you're used to getting burned, but jsut because it's familiar doesn't mean it's a good idea.
-
The first one you get "happy" with....is not the right one.
-
Congrats lars.
Take some time and just enjoy your new found freedom.
It's a big adjustment.

Wrap it before you tap it. :leghump:

Thanks for all the postings here :)

Sorry to hear about the break up of your marriage, I'm always sad to hear such things. Hopefully it was for the better though.
I am sorry it broke up myself but she was a cheating bitch and i hope she enjoys her poverty. :)

As for what to do now... Head to Batcountry-Vegas! :cheersmate: Chase after that American Dream!
Just remember, take two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that you need all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.
Just be careful with the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and we know you'll get into that rotten stuff pretty soon!
is this a quote from leaving las Vegas? never saw the movie but hear it was good
