Al-Qaida may want to be careful, unlike Bush Obama is popular worldwide so when they attempt to insult them there is a greater chance of blow back, not from the US but from folks worldwide.
Bush is EXTREMELY UNPOPULAR worldwide so whenever they took their shots at him no one cared, but the entire world celebrated when Obama was elected and is pulling for him. Al-Qaida, which DOES CARE about the court of public opinion in some parts of the world might want to rethink its strategy of attacking Obama.
For his part I bet that unlike Bush Obama won't take the bait and will keep his administration officials from engaging in any kind of verbal spats with Al-Qaida.

Oh yeah, al-Qaida is just shaking in their boots worried about the response from Europeans and other Il Duce loving little pansy countries who'll do nothing but cast shadows, pout, and cry after being attacked.
The disillusion of these fools who really believe that Il Duce strikes fear into anyone, and especially America's enemies, is just too funny.

Al Zawahiri has already called the ObamaWannaBe out. Have yet to here anything back from Zero. Doesn't surprise me a bit.
