Title: Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban Charged With Insider Trading

Quote
SAN FRANCISCO -- The Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday charged Dallas Mavericks owner and Internet entrepreneur Mark Cuban with insider trading. The SEC alleges Cuban in June 2004 sold 600,000 shares of Internet search engine company Mamma.com Inc. on inside information that the company would initiate a stock offering. The charges allege Cuban knew that the offering would be at a discount and it would be dilutive to existing shareholders.

He may have seen this coming, since he recently claimed that he had a zero percent chance of buying the Chicago Cubs, one of his prized possessions.

Mark Cuban is a cocky prick.  Too bad this won't go anywhere.  Mark Cuban is not Martha Stewart.

I agree, I can't stand Mark Cuban.

Rush described him as a big Obama supporter on his show today.  I didn't know that.

I've always liked him.  Of course I don't live as close to him as you do.  You're probably bombarded with Mark Cuban news constantly.

Not really.  I rarely hear about him.  But I don't watch the sports news, I mean they'll refer to him when talking about the Mavs.

Mark Cuban is really annoying. He is the reason why the Dallas Mavericks lost the NBA Championship against Miami. He can't keeps his mouth shut.

This stuck me as so strange -- $700,000 to a billionaire is like $70 to most of us.

Maybe he got his money too quickly and can't do relative risk analysis in his head?  Remember, he had ONE really good idea and sold it for a billion.  That doesn't make him smart, just clever.
