BUSH ANGER: OBAMA AIDES LEAK CHAT DETAILS
Tue Nov 11 2008 09:28:10 ET
From Drudge (http://www.drudgereport.com/flashbol.htm)
Just hours after President Bush and President-elect Obama met in the Oval Office of the White House, details of their confidential conversation began leaking out to the press, igniting anger from the president, sources claim.
"Senator Obama would be wise to keep close counsel," a top Bush source warned.
"BUSH AND OBAMA AT ODDS OVER AID FOR AUTO INDUSTRY," splashed the NEW YORK TIMES in an exclusive Monday evening, quoting "people familiar with the discussion."
The two met at the White House in private, without staff.
"Bush indicated at the meeting that he might support some aid and a broader economic stimulus package if Obama and congressional Democrats dropped their opposition to a free-trade agreement with Colombia," claimed the TIMES.
The ASSOCIATED PRESS quickly followed with details of the conversation, citing "aides who described the discussion on grounds of anonymity, citing the private nature of the meeting."

Something tells me that Maobama never heard of Dale Carnegie.
-
Bush was stupid and/or naive if he thought he could actually negotiate a deal with the Dems through Obama, under the cloak of a "private chat" in the Oval Office.
What made Bush think he could actually trust Obama to keep his mouth shut about ANYTHING? Dear Leader certainly hasn't been shy about running his yap since his 2004 speech at the Dem Convention.
Bush's paranoia about leaks of any kind is well documented and, apart from a few gaffes here and there, he's been pretty good about keeping the lid on his administration. But that obsession with secrecy is also his undoing, because he has utterly forgotten how to communicate with the American people (if he ever knew to begin with).
Bush isn't angry with anyone but himself. He may be a lame duck, but he's still sitting in the Oval Office. And he was upstaged once again through his own naivete.
He's got to stop thinking about returning to Crawford and focus on the rest of his term.

Ya gotta respect ambition like that about a guy. Just when you think there's no possible way he could make you oppose him more, he exceeds himself just to prove you wrong.
That's a rare talent, that is.

Seriously, what did he expect from this band of partisan howlers?

Seriously, what did he expect from this band of partisan howlers?
Probably the same thing he was expecting when he "reached across the [mother****ing] aisle" to Vast Teddy, to prop up his education cluster**** reform bill.
It's sad, but it seems that President Bush's optimistic search for statesmen amongst a herd of squealing pigs at the trough is finally prooving fruitless.
-
I feel sorry--kind of--for all the indies that got snookered into thinking this assbag was bringing a post-partisan new-tone to DC.
They will learn very quickly that--like all liberals--he is a relentless, merciless, uncompromising enemy of all who oppose him...except for the assorted dicatators and thugs actually trying to kill Americans and their allies, in which case he will run, negotiate and quiver like a drooling simpleton.

Intresting that the NYT's has this story leaked from Obama...................and just a few days ago the NYT's has a story about Special Forces invading countries that are allies or we're not at war with, right after Obama has his big no holds barred Intel brief :bs:

So we're back to the "good old days" when the West Wing leaked like a sieve.
When staffers would hide under desks and call the media to tell them what was going on inside the Oval Office.

Four years of Clinton's first two years, before he discovered that Left-wing shit just didn't work.

rahm emanuel. whenever something leaked during clinton's term in office, you could normally trace it back to him.

Why believe what the Chicago Liars say happened? Everything pouring from one of their orifaces must pass the smell test BEFORE we consider it. This latest doesn't pass any smell tests as far as I'm concerned.
-
Fox had a phone call replay from one of Obama's guys helping in the tranisition.
He said that in no way was there a "quid pro quo" on the auto industry vs Columbia Free Trade Agreement. That both were discussed, but not together or in conjunction with each other.
Fox reported Obama as being upset that this "leak" happened.....especially as it reported untrue facts.

Obama will have to learn who to shut-up around, won't he? Running the mouth is a very bad habit.

He doesn't care. If I didn't know any better I'd say he was doing the leaking on purpose.

Yep!
I think he's doing those "leaks" to get people used to the idea that he won't be fulfilling all those promises he made to get elected.
