I was looking for "Fiddle Faddle" the other day when I was at Target and couldn't find it so I had to buy the Target brand "Archer Farms". I bought the Butter Toffee Caramel Clusters (made with popcorn). It is very delicious and addicting...be warned.
I have tried other Archer Farms products and like some and hate others. One of them that I bought last week called Chickadees (which is suppose to be like Goldfish crackers) sucks big time. Taste like crap. I'm starting not to like grocery shopping at Target (I only do it when I don't need a lot of groceries), their choice of products suck. BUT it is the only place I can find Honey Crisp apples so I will stop by there and get them every once in awhile.
I have no reason why I posted this, I guess I'm just bored.

When I lived closer to a Super Target I did a lot of grocery shopping there, but that was a few years ago.
I do pretty much all my grocery shopping at Kroger or Fiesta. :)

Lots of folks are becoming hip to the idea of the cheaper store/off brands. many are just as good if not better. Savings can be substantial over a short time also. some things the differnce in taste just aint worth the savings IMHO,such as kool-aid vs flavoraid for example. Now if you got a housefull of kids and drink the stuff by the gallons then yes go with the flavoraid.

Considering that Target/Super Target seems to be the NeoComs substitute for Wally World - and to my experience, waaaaaaaaaaaay too damned overpriced - I avoid it like the plague.
I think I just get turned off by their damned commercials. Same reason I will not shop Old Navy.

I used to love Target.....but I noticed a couple of years ago, they were right up there with JC Penney's on their prices. I will occasionally go in there...but I seem to go to KMart or Walmart more. The KMart near us is closing down leaving only Walmart or Target convenient. What I would spend on gas getting to a KMart, I could go to Walgreen's.
I've been finding a lot of stuff at Big Lots, Dollar General and Dollar Tree. Except for laundry stuff, I've been getting all my cleaning supplies at Dollar Tree. Stuff works just as well as the expensive stuff, and it's just a $1 a container.
Big Lots and Dollar General have food. I check where it's produced, but Big Lots has a great pasta sauce that I've used in baked ziti.
Went to the new Kroger that just opened on Friday night.....if they keep their prices the way they were the other night...I could be switching back to Kroger. Couldn't believe the pricing, it was lower than Walmart.

HEB & Walmart are the big grocery stores around here for good prices. I dunno how target does in sales but they obviously do good enough to remain open. Alpha Beta tried and lasted about 2 yrs before they folded up shop.
The walmart here just underwent remodeling. Looks nice but they rearranged most the groceries and merchandise. Thats my complaint about walmart here,the store is so huge it takes a long time to get to know the lay of the land and just when you do they remodel and change it up. Depending upon who does the measuring the walmart here is either the largest or the second largest in the country. The second largest or largest is about 10 miles down the highway.

I keep hoping that we are getting a Costco and a Publix.
I got spoiled with Publix in Key West when we had a condo there.....love that store!
Costco has 2 stores now in the Nashville area and are in Spartanburg SC and we're kind of in the middle.....
Rumors have been around regarding both stores, but so far....neither have made it here. :(

It's apple season at the local moonbat grocery store. They have so many apples, that is all that you smell when you walk in there.
My wife bought some of the honeycrisps....she gave them to the horse.

Publix is supposed to be moving north. My mother LOVES Publix and we are in Ohio. When she was last down in Florida, one of the managers said that Publix wanted to expand north further, but didn't say where north. Obvioiusly Kroger has a stronghold up here so it could be interesting if they make it this far north. I told her not to hold her breath. *IF* they indeed made it this far, I told her that's likely to be a decade off since this probably wouldn't be the first area they'd move into.

I am genetically gifted :-) but I realize my metabolism isn't always going to be so great. Right now I am 5'7 and weigh 122 lbs (I was weighed at my rheumatologist's office last wednesday). I wonder what I weighed before I started the dang prednisone. I must of been fairly underweight. I know I weighed myself about a month ago and I weighed 118 lbs. I think I had lost weighted because of the UVeitis.
Everything in moderation Mr SB. I eat only a handful of the junk food. If I deprived myself I would probably overeat when I got around anything bad for me. I'm kind of like a child in that regard.

My wife and I like to go to Target a few times each year and just buy what we think we want. Goofy stuff. Like the rainfall showerhead we got last month.
We charge it and I pay it off the next month. It's usually a couple of hundred bucks worth.
I don't know why I am confessing this madness here. I just felt like it.

The largest was in Valdosta GA in 2004. Not sure which one is now. Damn store was huge

I have had so much trouble with my teeth I have been living on DRUGS. Anything. Everything.
My long-awaited dentist appointment is 8:30 tomorrow morning.
I hope to have a complete upper & lower set of dentures by Thanksgiving. It would be so great to chew!

I have spent so much money at the dentist over the years that I bet I could have paid for his latest car. There is absolutely NOTHING left to do on any tooth in my mouth. He told me that when I saw him tuesday to get impressions for my mouth guard AGAIN. Another car payment for him....$375 (actually I bet his car payment is more than that). The only thing that can happen is for me to get a festering abscess which should be impossible (knock on wood) with all that I have done and do to keep my teeth healthy.
It costs a lot of money to make it appear you have perfect teeth. I got the shitty end of the stick as far as the tooth gene goes, that is why I have had to spend so much money. I am very lucky that I was able to afford it. If it weren't for my husband I would look British. :-)

I understand about the teeth. I'm so glad my mom got me braces, my dad said I could live with them the way they were. :whatever:
I have a friend that was talking about what our kids would look like if we had them, I told him "bad eyesight and horrible teeth." My eyes are sooooo bad, thank god for contacts and braces!

I will only shop at Publix, Target or Whole Foods.
