Title: Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa
Post by: BEG on November 08, 2008, 03:35:05 PM
We took both the girls to see Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa this afternoon and I have to say it was a very cute and funny movie.  Take your kids to see it.

Did they leave singing "I like to move it move it"?  One of my nephews was singing that song for at least a month after he saw the first one.

I want to see that.   I also want to see the one with the dog (Balto?  something like that).

I want to see that movie too, but it won't happen for a couple weeks (due to a paper being due.)

My local movie critic hates Madagascar with a passion, so of course, he bashed the sequel (the man has a vendetta against family-friendly movies, based on his record).

Went to see it today with the kids. It was cute. I'm tired of the little old lady though. Didn't like her in the first one, still don't.  :p Otherwise...good stuff.

I couldn't stand the lemur king in the first movie, and the penguins got old quickly.

There is a a scene that is priceless.  The Penguins got the chimps to work on their "plane" because they have opposable thumbs.  The chimps formed a union and it pissed off the penguins.  They all wanted maternity leave or they were walking off the job.  The penguins pointed out that all the chimps that were working were males but they still wanted the maternity leave.  Then the head chimp threw out some "racy" pictures of the head penguin and his "bobble head doll" girlfriend so he caved.  Just like real Union leaders, they ask for unreasonable things then use extortion to get their way.   :-)  Totally went over the kids heads but it made me laugh out loud.

I loved when the penguin said something about 'dealing with communists'.  :lmao: I laughed at that whole thing too, BEG!  :-)

Oh I've sat through some real shitty movies for my kids.  Especially the ones with "puppies that talk".  You do it out of love.  Every once in awhile though you get a good one that actually makes you laugh.

took the kids to see it friday night.  There were actually a few scenes that went completely over the kid's heads, I loved the take off lecture from the stewardess.  And yes, I like to move it was featured again :)  The kids all got free posters too!
