So... :-)
I was sitting at work today, all day long listening to two guys in the section next to mine talking about how lucky we all are to live during the time of Obama. I was pretty busy, so I was able to drown most of it out, but it started to get annoying after a while. So once I got fed up with it, I decided to strike up a conversation with my supervisor (whose pretty conservative) about how McCains campaign coulda done better to beat Obama, and which of Obama's promises we think would hurt the country the most.
So, one of the Obamaniacs begins to listen in, and comes over to try to convert us to the light. He starts off with "Do you make $250,000?". I said, of course not, you and I make the same pay. So he asks me what my problem is since Obama promised to give us all tax cuts. I told him, it's because our economy is slumping and with job loss rate on the rise, nothing is going to get better by taxing the people who create the jobs. He got completely tripped up by this, and sat there with a funny look on his face for a few seconds. Then he went on about how most jobs are created by small businesses. So I tell him about how Obama's income tax plan is only a small part of the whole thing, and how he plans on increasing a lot of taxes that will directly affect small businesses there by affecting the people who will be creating those jobs.
At this point he gets that deer in the headlight look, and after a few more seconds gives me a line about "Well, you just wait. Give it some time and you'll see it works." I chuckled and said "I would love nothing more then to be proved wrong. I don't want to see Obama destroy America." This flabbergasted him so much he seemed absolutely relieved when his phone rang and he got to break the conversation off.
This was my first true encounter with an Obamaniac, and I'm quite pleased with myself. :-)

Good job!
I was talking to one of my co-workers on Wednesday, he admitted that he had voted for Obama. When I started to tell him the real deal about Obama's plans for taxes, he stated that he had never heard that before.
I told him that the next time he should do more research than just listening to what the mainstream media has to say.
He also stated that he liked Obama is Health Care plan. When I explained to him than socialized healthcare has failed miserably in almost every single country that it has been implemented. I told him to start doing an Internet search on Canadian Health Care as just one example of how socialized medicine simply does not work as advertised.
I also asked him why he thought so many people from other nations come to America for Health Care, if their socialized healthcare worked so well why would they come here?
He stated that he never had never thought of it like that. He is a rather young adult, so maybe I struck a chord maybe I did not.

You know what's funny? I think DJ used to be a Democrat. :-)
Welcome to the dark side, yo. :-)

I think the story was a co worker talking to him about Kerry :lmao:

I was never a Democrat Reb. Never a Republican either. I do (and always have) considered myself conservative on most issues though.

Just tell him to go find someone who served during the Clinton Administration to wave his Obama pom-poms for.
His ears will take years to recover from the blistering....
