Do you think the girls will go to DC public schools?
Advertisements [?]I hope they can find a way to do that- safely, and in such a way that it does not disrupt their privacy and learning.
It would send such a beautiful message to the children of DC.

Doing a little digging a the island before oing to bed and ran across this gem. Who actually gives a damn where the girls go to school...DUmmies of course if they can use it to score political points. The standard argument breaks out amongst the primitives.
Then this gem for the truly gifted DUmp monkeys...

14. Do they go to public schools now?
There could be problems with that due to the Secret Service having to guard the girls at alll times and the fact that most public schools do not allow guns on the premises.
OT but one easy thing on my wish list for President Obama is to get the f^ck rid of NCLB pronto as it leaves behind the very kids it was touted as helping.
Hey DUmbass, I'm pretty sure there is an expemption on guns in a school for on-duty FEDERAL AGENTS. Stupid that strong is terminal.
-
I can agree with the DUmmy on one thing, getting rid of NCLB which I never supported in the first place.

A federal education mandate that is working and some want to get rid of it. Incidently a fed mandate that the fed actually funded.
Plenty of nonworking Fed mandates to dispose of instead of getting rid of ones that do work.

It's NOT a federal issue, period.

Anything dreamed up by Ted Kennedy can't be a good idea...
Sadly, Bush was desperate to look bipartisan.
-
I hate NCLB. I think it is making the stupid kids stay stupid and the smart kids are being dumbed down.

Not just Federal Agents but Law Enforcement!

In January 1977, the press fawned and approved when the Incompetent One and his wife sent little Amy to a public school in Washington, D.C., as if "exclusiveness" would be dead under the incoming administration.
Little Amy was in a public school for about three days, and then after the reporters and photographers left, was switched to an exclusive private school, where she remained until the end of her father's misbegotten administration.
This was sort of the same way the press fawned and approved when the Incompetent One and his wife, about this very same time, "walked" the inaugural parade rather than riding.
The Incompetent One and his wife walked about a block and a half, and then the reporters and photographers kindly obliged by not taking notes or pictures as they rode the rest of the way.

That's rich! The DUmmies actually believe that The Rookie...our newly appointed Dear Leader will let his little darlings attend what is the WORST school district in the entire 57 states???
:whatever:
No DUmmies...the little princesses of The One will never have their little Stride Rites touch the soil of a D.C. Publuc Screwl.
They will attend places like Evergreen or Wakefield or Country Day....far far away from your grimy greasy little prying eyes.
Because family members of The Annointed One should never....EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER have to be that close to the common folk.
-
The messiah's children have been attending private schools in Chicago, no reason to believe that he'd suddenly change that. IIRC, their school cost more than some colleges per year.

You know it.
No one uses, abuses or discrimnates against blacks more than an uppity nigga.
....and Obomber is now the highest one in the nation.
-
This just goes to show how naive, how snookered, and how ignorant they are about him.
He is not who or what they think he is, and as they realize that more and more each day, I think they are going to lose their frelling minds.
-
.....I think they are going to lose their frelling minds.
Damn, you're good, madam.
I've always been dissatisfied with using "fudging" in place of a coarser term, but could never think of another substitute.
I think I'll start using "frelling" now.
By the way, do you know the origin of that word? A localism or regionalism, perhaps?
-
I can agree with the DUmmy on one thing, getting rid of NCLB which I never supported in the first place.
I have always strongly supported NCLB.
One only needs to notice that the NEA and the American Federation of Teachers are violently opposed to NCLB.
Our model teacher, the DUmmy greenbriar, is violently opposed to NCLB.
Every DUmp DUmmy, without exception, is violently opposed to NCLB.
How could the wisdom of a policy be more clearly demonstrated?

Frell and frelling were used in the series Farscape which aired on the SciFi channel.

I am honored that you like it, Frank...and I have NO idea of the origin of the word LOL
I have another word to add to the conservative vernacular that describes today's 'liberal'....
Neosocialist.
I will leave it up to you to apply the meaning to that one

Thundley, is that black fist a symbol of "black power" from the Black Panthers??? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Not to confuse the matter further, sir, but the NCLB was the brain-child of Vast Teddy, beginning in the mid-1970s. It's Vast Teddy's bill. For almost 30 years nobody paid attention to it, even those times there was a Democrat in the White House, and the Democrats had majorities in Congress.
Vast Teddy wanted that bill, but nobody would give it to him.
That is, until just prior to 9-11 (hence why the story is now forgotten), George Bush decided it would be politically expedient to give Vast Teddy something, so as to mellow him out. It took a lot of arm-twisting and considerable bad feelings on the part of both Republicans and Democrats, to get the thing through.
Nobody, but nobody, liked that bill.
The primitives blame it on George Bush, but really, it's Vast Teddy's bill, not his.

Coach, I knew NCLB originated, in some form, with Kennedy. Normally, that is 'nuff said. Anything coming from the liquor-soaked recesses of a Kennedy skull is the definition of drek.
There's a big difference here, though. I have never read the entire bill; I doubt anyone, including Kennedy, has. But when I see how vehemently it is detested by the NEA and the AFT, and how universally it is hated by DUmmies and democrats of all stripes, I am persuaded that it must have some very positive attributes.
I recall the debate leading up to passage of NCLB, but I do not recall opposition to the extent we hear now. In fact, I believe the strongest opposition was on the right side of the aisle. Now, nearly all the vein-popping negative screeching about NCLB comes from organized labor, which in my frame of reference means it's a good policy.
Maybe it has had some unintended benefits to education that Kennedy and the union bosses overlooked during the debate. I cannot stomach the thought of being on the same side of any issue with the NEA or the AFT.

I know, GOBUCKS.
What I like about the NCLB Act is that the greenbriar primitive, despite the low expectations of NCLB, can't get her own students up to snuff on it.
I'm sure that cost the greenbriar primitive some inventive pay or something, or a poor personnel evaluation, this past year.
Anything that discombobulates the greenbriar primitive is fine by me.
-
Absolutely. The Publik Skewlz get worse than they already are.
True, but that owes a lot more to the NEA and Big Education itself than it does to NCLB.
-
Now, nearly all the vein-popping negative screeching about NCLB comes from organized labor,
NCLB, by its very nature, created an enormous amount of accountability for the individual instructor. Which means more work, more time. Fewer breaks. Fewer hours to post on DU from the classroom computer.
Personally, I'd prefer they use that extra time to TEACH something beyond what they're shoveling down kids' throats for standardized testing.
ETA: I almost forgot why I came to this thread in the first place:

That is too much. I'd make a bumper sticker out of one of these, but I value my tires and paintjob too much.
6:30 yesterday, I noticed that our McCain/Palin sign was missing from my yard.
Obama thugs, imagine that.
There was one person's yard in my neighborhood that had a McCain sign with another sign alongside it that said something to the effect of, "This is my second sign, that someone stole as I was exercising the first amendment. If you steal this one, I will exercise the second" :rotf:
I was going to put something nasty in place of the sign (they left the metal that it was attached to), but I don't want the house to get egged.

Q: Do Barack Obama's children attend public school?
A: No
the Chicago Tribune sums up some of their answers:
"My kids have gone to the University of Chicago Lab School, a private school, because I taught there," Obama responded. "It was five minutes from our house. So it was the best option for our kids.

3. This is the same nonsense that was started....
...when Amy Carter and Chelsea Clinton came to DC. Beautiful message not withstanding, I would rather see President Obama come in with a comprehensive education plan to improve the education system of DC and the country than have the girls go to a school as a photo-op.
We've suffered through eight years of bullshit which we just ended last night. Let's not squander it with empty gestures.
Incredible that the dumpasses do not know the DC schools ar e the highest funded schools in the country
They are also the schools with the highest rate of failures
