Title: **** McCain
Post by: RightCoast on November 05, 2008, 06:15:56 PM
His staff is falling over themselves throwing Palin under the bus **** YOU John for letting that happen.  The stories coming out about her paint her as a loose canon and an blathering idiot - and that's what Faux is reporting - **** McCain, if it wasn't for Palin John would have had to conceide the race 2 months ago.  He ran a shitty campaign and his staff are covering their asses and it is going to cost us a good candidate in four years - **** YOU John.

Governor Palin will be just fine.

Ignore the media. Ignore the bitter losers. McCain is nothing but a relic now. We have to move forward and focus on 2010.

What you are seeing is the good old boys getting together to keep a new star from rising. Those in DC have strayed from the conservative viewpoint, and seeing someone with it scares them.

Agreed. If she can withstand the deliberate button-pushing, family-bashing, and media frenzy, not to mention Troopergate, she'll turn out the better for this experience.

For her first time on the national stage, I continue to be very impressed with her.

Mrs. Eupher, on the other hand, disagrees.

But then again, Mrs. Palin is poised to go pretty far - as far as her pretty legs will take her.

You must have just heard the Fox reporter who has been travelling with McCain give his "report" on Gov Palin.

I too, thought, she was getting thrown under the bus.

Many said, prior to the election, that if McCain lost, she would be the first one tossed under, and she was.

While Carl what's his face may have reported what he was told ......I started to see the falsehoods as soon as he said one staffer said that Palin thought Africa was a country unto itself, not a continent.

Oh please.....the woman's a college graduate with a degree in Journalism.

If they were going to toss her.....they should have had more credible comments.

If this is the crap that we would have had to put up with the Maverick for 4 years I'll take my chances with barack, at least I'll see my enemy coming.

And I also never meant to imply that she would be overly damaged by this - just why in God's name give them the ammunition.

McLame should be handing her his loyalty not letting his staff and the press force an apology for possibly costing him votes - COSTING HIM VOTES? She is the only reason he had any!

Why did any of us support the old fool - because he picked Palin - now they're admitting that she wasn't vetted all the way - that nobody else that he was looking at was a game changer.  Well, Senator,if she was a game changer then treat her like she deserves and take the blame that lies with you.  Letting that stupid Fundamentals of the economy thing cost him his lead.  Fool. He should have hounded barack wit "Mr Obama, are you saying the fundamentals of our economy, the very building blocks of the United States itself, are Weak?" McLame the fool could have made barack choke on fundamentals.

Sadly, the reason McCain didn't do well was that they suppressed Sarah Palin.

If she'd been my running-mate, and given my own lack of passion (but still with a desire to win), I would've set her loose to do and say as she pleased.

I begrudgingly accepted McCain when he was selected as the GOP candidate. I felt he was destined for failure by himself. I prayed that he didn't choose Romney or Giuliani. He didn't. He chose a TRUE Conservative that brought a breath of fresh air and some hope to his campaign.

That's a no-shitter, he would've been lucky to break 20% without her.  The moderates he supposedly wanted on board really never had any reason at all to vote for him over Obama, and the base regards him (correctly as I see it) as somewhat to the left of the blue-dog Democrats, and they would've stayed home in droves.

I hate to be the lone voice of dissent here, I really really do.  Because I like Sarah Palin, and I know that she would have been a strong VP.

But an enormous group of white males who voted for Obama in this election did so because they bought into the media's portrayal of Sarah Palin as "an idiot".

"I was gonna vote for McCain until he picked that idiot."

I heard it so many times I couldn't stand it anymore.  And I even heard it from a lot of women.

I don't think that she'll be a viable candidate for President in 2012 unless she REALLY makes some headlines in the meantime.

The media buried her.

I doubt any of them really would have voted for him, they are just looking for an excuse that doesn't involve them doing any real explaining.

On the idiot scale, Joe Biden is the clear winner, but his 'vast experience' (of being wrong on virtually every issue on which he has taken a position, plagiarism, and being the lapdog of the credit card industry) went wholly unremarked.  The media was going to attack the GOP VP pick heartily and relentlessly no matter who it was, since given his hero status it would look too over-the-top to go rabid on McCain himself.

I watcher late last night when she landed in Alaska and had a press conference...She was visibly angry, pissed off at the press and stated how she felt.  I couldn't tell if she was pissed at the press or the campaign.  She had spunk...too bad she was held back.   I saw a different side to her...of course she's not running anymore, so her words were not carefully orchestrated.  The dumbasses that are in charge of doing that should be FIRED. Because she is great when she speaks from the heart.

I never heard anybody say that at all, but I'm up north a bit. Go back to the morning after barack's speech and read the threads on this board - there was true excitement for this woman.

As far as what the media did to her that was ALL the campaigns fault.  They handled her poorly and that left the door wide open to the media - Gibson and Couric?  Are you kidding me McCain????  They gave her no cover from constent attacks and did nothing to defend her - hello $150,000 in clothes, hello in accessable/ hiding her away -- she spoke to the press more than ****ing barack did!

That brings my back to my original point: **** McCain, the sad part is all of his loser staff will end up on some other campaign down the road ****ing up some other good candidate's chance of getting elected.  ***holes.

Not that it mattered a whole lot here in Oregon, but I know of one person who would have not bothered with the presidential line without her.

McCain was never popular with the base.  Obama brought real excitement to the other side.   I detest the man, but I have to recognize he made everyone on his side super enthusiastic in a way I havn't seen for either party for years.

You're right on that one. Saw her twice. The crowd was excited about Palin, not McCain.

I'm so sick of those moderates and blue blood Republicans. One of my ex-relatives was a politician, ran for us House as a Repub. He was a banjo playing conservative. The blue bloods looked down on him.

Once I went to a political party with a bunch of people, including a guy who runs many Republican political campaigns. It was in a really ritzy club. Some of the effete ones came up to me and asked where the photographer was. They thought I was from the local newspaper and wanted their widdle pics taken. I realized then that the conservatives/regular people were looked on as staff or servants to them.

That's when I stopped being quite so active politically. I really feel for Palin.

You know, I'm a very forgiving person.  Really I am.  When this whole "now we can tell the campaign dirt we saw as embedded reporters, and Obama's was smooth and McCain/Palin was a mess" story broke, I was inclined to think the hate and vitriol against Sarah Palin was planted by a spiteful aide to McCain who maybe had issues with an aid to Palin.  At least one person in the MSM alluded to that.

However, it has been well over 24 hours (real, not Pitt-time) and McCain is still silent.
