Title: *SIGH* I didn't mean to see what happened - but now WE FIGHT!!!!!!
Post by: Chris_ on November 04, 2008, 11:51:59 PM
I was actually looking for something else when I saw that the fuhrer has managed to convince Das Volken that bread and circuses shall be the order of the day.  We doesn't have to worry about our mortgage or car payment cause he gonna pay us back!

The difference between us and the crying sad-sack losers of the last 8 years is WE work for a living and will NOT allow the new fuhrer to take our rights away.  When that bastard comes for our guns, that is when we may have to physically fight.  The term "keep your powder dry" has never had more currency.

We must emasculate The New Fuhrer at every step.  And, as those who MAKE CAPITAL, and those who EMPLOY PEOPLE and those who WORK FOR A LIVING, we have more control than the DUmmies have ever dreamed.

BTW: If I employed anyone, I would slash my payroll as much as possible today.  Better, you get rid of deadwood now than you be required to carry them until they die (or even after).

My speech? "You have elected a Marxist.  I can't take the chance he will make me employ you forever.  You are fired."

I have owned 2 companies and could do this, trust me.

Of course.

Remember the Democrat landslide of 1936, after which the Republican party and conservatism were presumed dead.

Remember 1938.

Remember the Democrat landslide of 1964, after which the Republican party and conservatism were presumed dead.

Remember 1966.

Remember the Democrat "landslide" of 1992, after which the Republican party and coservatism were presumed dead.

Remember 1994.

Winter is but short.

You would fire someone for who you think they voted for? :o

No, for what he thinks the government is going to require him to do for his employees.

For 30 years I had people that thought I had adopted them and all their problems, not just merely hired them. The new government will require adoption and life long resposibility to employees.

When the Dems end up completely in charge, it usually doesn't take them too long to foul the nest irretrievably, and since they'll have nobody else handy to blame for it from here on out, our prospects are all upside from here.

Blaming the previous crew works for the first hundred days.  Once the honeymoon is over, that dog won't hunt with the public, even if there really is a factual basis for it.  People don't want excuses, not even semi-valid ones.

When I was in college, I had a rabid Maxist professor who pointed out a fact of life unfortunate for leftists--giving boatloads of actual examples.

He said it's been a constant mystery; when the left unites, it inevitably splits, whereas the right seems to be cohesive much more longer.

The most recent example of this is the left government in Norway at the moment; the coalition fell apart less than a year after it narrowly won office.

(But Norway has a different parliamentary set-up than most parliamentary set-ups; in Norway, terms are set, and one still leads a full term, even if one has lost the majority.)

No, just the policies of that person.  You think I want more kids?  Anyone who keeps their employees under the new fuhrer is nuts -- you will have to employ them forever and provide everything for them.

You want hope -- I hope you can find a new job.  You want change -- I hope the change in your pocket will get you to the government handout line.

THIS is what has me depressed today.  Mark these words - large corporations across the country are drawing up their hit lists today.  And I'm 99% sure my husband's name is on one.  Not because he's "deadwood", but because he has the most seniority and therefore, stands to gain a large severence in the event of a layoff.  So they're going to fire him for "cause" to avoid that payout.  In fact, the wheels are already in motion; one week ago his boss gave him a "sixty day warning" laying out the worst job performance imaginable.  Problem is, he's NEVER had less than a stellar review in twenty years and has always made his bonus plan.  The economy starts to tank, corporate taxes are set to skyrocket, so they want to cut the budget.  Nice way to reward loyalty.

And me?  I work for a very small business that is suffering from the sub-prime fallout and may not make it.

The next four years are gonna be GREAT!  :bawl:

Tighten your belt and hang on. I have been thru this shit twice in my lifetime. When Obama begs you to spend your wealth, pinch those pennies even tighter because the worst is yet to come.

...and if you can come out the other side of this with a few coins (or good credit) in your pocket, MAKE MONEY OFF THE DUMMIES.

My MIL (62), got the axe last week from a huge banking corporation. She got a pretty nice severance package, but they saw this coming.

DJIA is down 270.  And that trend will continue.

Granted I'm in real estate and we all know that isn't going well....but my company is already doing lay-offs and closed one office. In my office and another, the highest paid secretaries were let go. The one in the other office had been there 8 years!!!! Finding a competent person to work in a real estate office is not easy. There is a possibility of closing more offices and letting more employees go. I'm an independent contractor, so my job is not at issue.....though it may be with the company I am with if I don't keep selling. Right now, I'm ok....but who knows.

Mortgage companies are in trouble all over...building industry is in trouble....and all the peripheral jobs that go with the industry. It is a ripple effect.....and the ripples are getting bigger......

My line of work, clearing, grading, roads was tied to realestate. I learned early to live like a "farmer" because real estate goes up and down like a roller caster, especially in smaller towns/cities. When you have a good year you save all you can because you're going to need it to tide you over the bad ones.

This recession will weed out the weak and when the recovery starts......there will be money to be made.

But , hasn't the messiah talk about creating jobs by building new infrastructure (roads), so won't that help you?   Of course those contracts will probably go to minority and democrat owned companies.
