is this speech the most nauseating thing you have ever heard? does this guy look like it has suddenly dawned on him just what the hell has just happened to him?
-
jeeez. he's already running for reelection; "we can't get there in one term". and he will "always be honest with us" . . . he will have to start being honest, first.
-
Take consolation in the fact that it's the Dems that have to deal with the economy and everything else that happens the next four years. In the meantime...maybe the Repubs can get their act together and find a candidate that can win and put us back on top.
All those people with "hope and relief" on their faces are going to be in for a real shock when it dawns on them just what they have elected.
-
Looks like he's startin to back pedal already....
I hear alot of "pretty words", all empty promises...
He read a nice speech....
-
There is no one for them to blame for their failures now. It will be like a shiny penny in a mud pile.

sounds just like his stump speech. let's see him govern on "yes, we can". they just had a shot of jesse jackson in the crowd; he looked oddly unhappy. :-)
-
it is his damn stump speech. this is where they all mindlessly chant "yes, we can". :whatever:
-
that's it?!?! how anti-climactic.
-
It's a really tough night. No one is ready for consoling.
Take heart, my friends. It took a Carter to get us a Reagan.
-
Obama and his cohorts will blame their shortcomings and their failure to lead the country out of the recession it's in on the Bush regime. That will continue throughout their administration. I just HOPE that Americans will be able to see through the charade, pretty words, and blamestorming. Of course, as many prophets have suggested, we may not even see a second term for Obama or another election, as the world, as we know it, is supposed to end Dec 21st, 2012. Only time will tell.

I think I'd be pretty overwhelmed too!

Knock! Knock!
Who's There?
Eyes!
Eyes Who?
Eyes Yo New President!

:whatever:
-
Now he's thinking ..."wtf do I do now?" He can't wait for John McCain to speak up first.
-
I think I'd be pretty overwhelmed too!
Well....I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed too....over what's going to happen to my country...my family.
-

maybe he would be a little less overwhelmed if he actually had something that passed for a qualification for the office that he was just elected to.
-

no kidding. it's not about words anymore. it's about doing something.
-
What's going to happen when it's finally proven that he CAN'T be President because of his citizenship ?? That court case is STILL pending.
-
there is a mob outside the whitehouse. :whatever:
-
The way he was saying "Yes we can" at the end of every point was kinda creepy....

mindlessly chanting the Obamian Chant was in required part of all of his campaign speeches.
-
It was very messianic of him...
Reminded me of the "Lord hear our Prayer" response in Mass...creepy.
-
someone needs to hose down all of those ridiculous college kids in front of the white house.
-
mindlessly chanting the Obamian Chant was in required part of all of his campaign speeches.
And will soon be required of every American after every speech.
-
Well....I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed too....over what's going to happen to my country...my family.
....and Rev. Wright has supplied us with the new Democrat motto....that may be placed on our money.
"GOD DAMN AMERICA"

He just realized that he can't threaten to cut the balls off the president.

The mantra is set in stone thanks to McLame not repudiating any of it - it was all Bush's fault - McLoser never once said it wasn't, he let it stand and that burned him and will continue for years to come: the Barackstar inherited a broken system according to the media. The fool let Barack set the tone and it worked.

I was going to post exactly that. bush won reelection in 2004 by strongly defending his policies. mccain lost by trying to be obama lite. that was a losing proposition from the get-go.

Excuses based on the previous administration will work for a couple of months, essentially that first "Hundred Days." After that, people start expecting results instead of excuses, even if the excuses are true. Still, it will take the Press a good six months after the inauguration to recalibrate and start going after him...there isn't a GOP Congress to go after, so he's screwed on that one. To you and I, sometimes "No news is good news," but to the MSM, "Good new is no news," and they will be starving for blood after six months of love-in.

and that's when the trouble starts. when you are the messiah, you had damn well better produce a miracle sooner or later. if you don't, then shattering disillusionment is your disciples' ultimate destiny.

Exactly.
McCain ran as a tired old man. The only people that voted FOR him (as oppsed to for Palin and/or against Obama) were those who thought McCain could use his RINO record to attract dems; and that was part of why he never defended Bush.
First he spent so much time backstabbing Bush on taxes, judges, ANWR etc that he couldn't defend him too strongly without looking like a waffler. Then to maintain the bipartisan RINO facade he had to allow the criticisms of Bush to remain. As long as they remained he was tied to them until the last debate when he told Obama if he wanted run against Bush he should have done it 4 years ago. It stopped the comparisons after that but the image was already cemented.
Of course, one of the things tied to Bush was the credit meltdown. McCain rolled over with his legs in the air and allowed the dems to define that one.

O'bummer needs to be hammered relentlessly before he ever gets in. That will make him even weaker and allow the buyer's remorse to set in sooner.
I don't have much hope though because the GOP is so damned scared of being called racist, obstructonist etc etc etc They talk a good game about not retreating because the terrorists will see us as weak and follow us home but they fail to handle the political terrorists with the same mindset. Before we deal with Obama we need to gut our party and excise anyone that dares utter the words "bipartisanship" and "reaching across the aisle".

I think the entire change mantra and how well it worked in the 2006 mid term is a good barometer for how effective The Rookie is gonna be in turning us completely into a Socialist State.
Senator McConnell still has enough votes to block the Libs.
Which will leave Obama in the position Clinton was in...handing out Executive Orders like commandments from Heaven to get his dirty work done.

interesting photo from the mob of clueless college kids that were having a mass obamagasm just outside of the white house grounds tuesday night/wednesday morning. I thought I saw this live, but wasn't sure.

They must have been taking notes from these jacktards who were passing around the reefer at another Obamagasm:

Frightening indeed that these people are influencing the direction of our country. :banghead:
