fine idea.  I wanted to stay away from a "live election night" thread, because everything would get buried in it, but this is a good idea.

And it will continue to swing back and forth like this all night.

The good news for us right now...is that the Libtards are stressing over this worse than we are.

They were expecting to be gloating right now with a tremendous blowout.

It will go up and down based upon which counties are dumping data - the narrative, IMHO, is its going to be closer than we would like, but the Obama blowout seems (at this very early point) more myth than reality.

They damn well better.  We don't need a repeat of 2000.

That idiot here in  Fairfax County that would rather register inmates than count military votes was TOLD by a judge to count our vote.

Unfortunately, urban precincts tend to be the last to be firmed up in the tallies, for legitimate reasons mostly (but all too often for the other kind as well), and are generally Dem turf.

No they had a problem up here in NOVA of the Fairfax County registrar not counting military votes because of something to do with the witness signature/address not being in the ballot.

He was too busy going to the detention center signing up misdemeanor detainees.

Which is funny becaue to hear the retards on CNN yesterday...the Cubans and the rest of the state was going to go for Brock.

I suspect what we are seeing are the early voters since the state is still voting - hopefully we see the same evaporation which has been occurring in both Indy and VA once the traditional voters get counted.

Florida is 55-45 about the same as Indiana when it closed.

Im not under any sort of delusion that this is going to be easy - But since Mac seems to still be in the game, I give him a 20% chance of pulling it off.

And lets not forget they haven't started counting the Florida panhandle yet.  The polls there still have 10 minutes til they close.

They have a VERY conservative population.

Remember in 2000 CBS called Florida early for Gore because the polls in the pennisula part of the state closed an HOUR before the Panhandle.

It's widely believed that it caused a LOT of voters to stay away from the polls up north and led to the hanging chad debacle.

I also heard that the difference that is seen in some counties between exit-polls and actual turnout (in other states) is up to an 11 point difference - so Mac is doing quite a bit better than exit polls indicate. In comparison to Bush, Macs numbers are all over the place. Its going to be a long night.

I can only guess with PA that the first coup[le of counties they have data for is lining up with exit polls - I think though that may be a dangerous precedent to set - PA like FL is so large that people have very different thinking based on where they live. If PA ends up a loss it will be a close one.

If the Republicans can hold onto enough seats to prevent the Dems from having 60 votes...that makes them filibuster proof and they can keep blocking the stupid stuff the Dems tried to pass in the last two years.

The rules the Dems slid through in 2002 to try and screw the President are coming back to bite them in the ass now.

It was the Dems that pushed for a rule change requiring a super majority instead of a simple majority to pass anything in the upper house.

No matter who wins Tuesday's presidential election, you can be sure of one thing: The networks aren't going to hold back calling the election for Barack Obama or John McCain if either gathers the magic number of 270 electoral votes.

That means it's possible, if not altogether likely, that the presidential election could be called before polls close in the West. That happened once before, in 1980, when the election was famously called -- and conceded -- by 9 p.m. ET. But it'll be the Internet, cable and the speed of news that will be the driving factor this time.

There is one other bright spot - the Dems now OWN the financial mess. Obama better hope he can fix it, while raising employment, while giving out free money. Failure to do so will destroy him in two years.

That's been my comment to my moonbat coworkers..I'm holding Obama accountable on his every promise.  If he doesn't "fix the economy", "end the Iraq war while US winning", bring down unemployemnt, fix the housing problem..etc, he will be outvoted in 4 years.  All of a sudden, they got this somber look on their faces... :evillaugh:

Anyway.

OBAMA: 26,745,733
MCCAIN: 25,715,551

Now remember, folks, when the Big Zero redistributes the wealth, I got first dibs on El Stupido Supremo's second home in Connecticut.

El Stupido Supremo's got two homes, I've got none, and I'm sure the Big Zero's going to redress that inequity.

I really hope it happens in time for me to have a big party in Connecticut in November 2010, when the Republicans landslide--but it might take a while, and perhaps it's safer to schedule a big party there in November 2012, to celebrate even more Republican successes.

The case will be heard on the 10th, and the Judge ordered that all of those ballots had better be held onto until then.  So if it closes up at all, Virginia may yet be flipped.

You know...if you look at the dejected folks around here already ready to concede this to Barak when most of these states haven't got 50% of their polling precincts reporting in...just proves that the medias attempt to depress the vote and disenfranchise folks out on the West Coast that haven't voted yet...is working.

Anyone that looks at Ohio and a couple of the other "must win" states that are being called with less than 1/3 of the precincts reporting in and thinks it's "over" need to rethink their defeatist attitude.

I just posted this in my MySpace blog.

Quote
I had hoped to never see the day that Socialism was welcomed into this country with open arms.

But it seems it has.  America wanted change.  Well, we got it.

Just remember when the economy crashes, and you can't pay your electricity bill because it sky rocketed, and your para-military civilian enforcement teams are walking up and down the streets that you wanted change.  Remember when our militaries budget is cut by 25% and we no longer have the capability to defend this nation, that you wanted change.  Remember that when our governments deficit has soared to levels unheard of, and unemployment rates echo that of Europes, that you wanted change.

Because that is everything that Obama has promised us.  And it is everything that was voted for tonight.

Goodnight America.  Obama willing, I will continue defending your shores and your peoples throughout the night.  I'll see you in four years.

Hope you have an important job Sarge.  This just put my officer plans on hold for 4 years.

I wonder too....will late night comedians be able to poke fun at The One if he's elected? There isn't really going to be any Republicans to poke fun at... it'll probably just be dumb jokes about the weather on Leno and Letterman.

NBC has called the mississippi senate race for wicker, denying the dems of a filibuster proof majority.

landrieu's lead has jumped to 40,000 votes.  franken and coleman are neck and neck.

Yeah and it gets harder too.  back to the spin about how the soldiers are still ready and highly trained despite the 25% cuts in our budget and manning levels.

That is IF I'm allowed to keep my job in the military because of my association with subversive websites and the soon to be made illegal "Conservative Talk Radio" folks like mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh.

Who knows what kind of purge Barakstar! could order once his coronation is complete.

Well you saw what "The One" did to the reporters for the newspapers that endorsed McCain.

You don't think the late night guys didn't get that subtle message?

Sorry to hear that. Maybe you can become one of The BarackStar's "civilian forces". I can only assume it probably doesn't pay squat.

If the one wins, I want him to have a filibuster-proof Congress. I want them to **** this country up as much as they can. Why? Because I think it'll destroy the "Democrat" brand.

Well, it looks like it's all over but the crying now.

 :bawl:

I wonder what America will look like after four years of having our first ever fully socialist president.  We can only hope that some of the more moderate democrats in Congress can keep at least a partial check on the guy.

Whoa..... I know we'd love to see the left go totally out of power here, but we have our fellow countrymen to think about here. My greatest concern before my wallet or whatever is what's gonna happen with the WOT and this flaming ***** at the helm? More people are going to possibly be killed by Al-Queda because Obama will not do a damn thing with nations like Syria, Iran, and the like.

If the left totally **** this country up, they just don't pay... we ALL do.

Because it is over.  Obama bought the election, and now we just need to weather the storm for the next 4 years.

Just find solace in the fact that he will **** it up so much that we are a shoe in in 2012.

Now...I guess we just wait and see what happens next.

Hope and pray that not only our military on foreign shores stay safe as possible, but we who are here in the States also stay safe. I fear that we won't be.

What's to come in other elections then if not a damn thing is done? Would there be really any reason to vote then if it didn'tcount or got canceled out by thousands of dead or imaginary voters?

Most Americans will WELCOME hell when they reap what they have sown this night.

Terrorist attacks inside of 90 days.  30% unemployment well before January.  18% inflation shortly thereafter.

Silver linings:

* Deval one-term-governor Patrick will be tapped for something by the Mesiah and thus will BE GONE from my state.   Tim Murray will be governor.   Tim is a good guy (even though he is a Democrat);

*  If the press is to be believed, Kerry may leave also (although I doubt it) to take a position as Secretary of State.  See ya;

* After two years of Jimmy Carter Jr., Republicans will start winning back Congressional seats in the next election cycle;

* Our next President will be Republican and conservative.  After four years of Obama, Reid and Pelosi, Americans will vote in whatever Republican candidate we nominate in a landslide so we will have a mandate.

and last, but not least....

"change, baby change"

* the media will turn on the Mesiah once he raises his hand to take the oath.    The LA Times will release the tape, and the Jewish Americans in CT and FL will be screaming "do over!!!  we want a do over!!!"

It's not all bad right?

Pennsylvania, Ohio and Illinois have laid the groundwork for their own failings by voting for a man that stated that he'd bankrupt the coal industry. It'll be fun to watch them suffer. I just hopes it stays confined to their localities.
