YIKES!

Here are some prize gems:

After the Lewinski scandal, gonnorhea of the throat went up by 40% in teenage girls.

After WWII it took ten years before the Nazi Insurgents stopped killing American Soldiers and German Citizens.

Obama is a Communist.

If you criticize America you should just leave America.

The Republican Party is the party of Minority Rights

The economy always does better under Republican leadership

etc etc etc

Oh man I swear... it's impossible to argue with these people either... as soon as you start to make a point they cut you off with more talking points. It's insane.

My Wife came out to smoke at one point and he nearly vomited when she told him about Palin's socialist scheme though hahah. Go Wife!

Seriously though, these people are pretty scary. Were they always this far right? Were they like this 20 years ago? Or have they all just been crazy brainwashed over the last decade or so? I'm 29 so I don't really know how far back this craziness goes...

So he readily admits that he is both young and ill-informed of history, but thinks he knows brainwashing and crazy shit or any historical context :hammer:

I absolutely believe in historical context and one can not even assess with any intelligence the current economic affairs without putting it into the context of the events over the last TWENTY years that put it where it is. Neither should anyone be discussing civil rights as it relates to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 without an understanding of what actually happened when it was passed:

http://www.congresslink.org/print_basics_histmats_civilrights64_doc9.htm

Significant to understand is it was many senate democrats, namely Senator Byrd(who lead the fillubuster to stall it) who held it up and opposed it. The republicans only opposition was not to civil rights itself:

Quote
His approach was to amend the bill in ways that would make it more palatable to midwestern Republican senators who did not object to civil rights but philosophically opposed federal government intervention in the issue.

You know, in the same way many of us now object to the insertion of the federal gov. into, oh I don't know, gay issues.  :whatever: And boy, did those senators have a point to be concerned given the extensive legislation that has come out of this from the fed over the years?

Those with actual opposition to blacks actually having equal rights though were democrats. It was Republican minority leader, Dirksen who lead the way to break the fillubust DEMOCRAT, Byrd had kept rolling.

Important context to remember. I wrote the idiot Oprah show a few years back when even she couldn't get right the whys and hows of how the bill was passed. I got no response, of course.  :whatever: :uhsure: I am always amazed at how this idea is pushed in liberal ideology. I'd love to see a national debate sometime not related to the election about historical fact and context. I have a felling many of our 'esteemed' senators would fall flat on their face to debate it and actually back up what they say.  :lmao: I've always waited for the opportunity to correct someone like the OP when they brought that up.

The primitive's 29 years old, and already a bankrupt.

Just in case no one remembered that.

There's a lot of good reasons to go bankrupt--although this primitive never gave any--but man, 29 is kind of young to have already messed up one's life, isn't it?

Quit a good job at age 25 (1971)and went in business with dad......mistake.

Then in mid 1973....had to sell a farm I had bought and borrow more money to buy him out.

Then at 29 (recession of 1974, 75, 76........'82) I was bankrupt to the point of having to sell a lot of stuff for a fraction of what it "HAD" been worth. I didn't declare bankruptcy or NOT pay anyone fully and on time that I owed but it was close.

Then there was the divorce.........

I've had to start over several times...... :rotf:......But life has been interesting.

Don't take life to seriously, you're not going to get out of it alive anyway.
