The numbers are good, but listen to what the two guys think of the candidates. What they say is exactly why I believe Obama will lose on Tuesday. From the Virginia Pilot.
...
They are three points apart, within the margin of error, and there are still 9% undecided ? Folks, that is the ballgame. They will not break for Obama.
We are talking about the white Hillary Democrats.
...
Look, he only split the white vote with Hillary and there are 11% undecided white voters. None of the 11% are Obama supporters. Why would a white Obama supporter in the primary now be undecided in a contest with McCain? No, the 14% are Hillary’s Democrats, who if they were going to vote for Obama, would have said so. They are voting for McCain.
Virginia stays Red.
There's still hope Schade! (http://patriotroom.com/?p=3731)

Latest Sentinel/Mason-Dixon poll: With 48 hours to Tuesday, Florida still too close to call
With 48 hours until Election Day and candidates swarming the state like mosquitoes, a new Orlando Sentinel poll suggests that the race for president in Florida remains too close to call.
The poll, by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, shows Sen. Barack Obama leading Sen. John McCain 47 percent to 45 percent, well within the poll's 4-point margin of error. With the race essentially tied going into the last lap, Florida's 27 electoral votes remain the biggest battleground prize for either candidate.

undecided is the new Bradley effect.
Of course...it's easier to be "undecided" than be called a racist...
-
And probably there are some people so eager to appear politically correct, they're actually lying and saying they'll vote for Obama but they won't.
McCain will win both VA (close) and FL, and PA as well if the defeatism is overcome.
-
McCain would win handily in VA IF they were not disalowing the military absentee ballot. I cannot be more furious.

That crap happens every year and it infuriates me.

Are you serious?!?!
I just found this.
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=29234
Virginia Attorney General Bob McDonnell has issued a formal opinion concluding that federal absentee ballots from overseas military voters lacking the printed name and address of a witness must be counted.
In the formal opinion the Attorney General finds, “It is…. my opinion that the applicable provision of Virginia law, § 24.2-702.1(B), interpreted to require an overseas military voter submitting only a Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot to include the printed name and address of the person who signs the witness statement is preempted by the provisions of the (federal) Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act. Finally, it is my opinion that general registrars may not reject a Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot submitted by overseas military voters for the November 4, 2008 federal election that does not include a printed name and address for the person who signs the witness statement…â€
This directive was delivered to all of Virginia’s State Boards of Elections on Monday.

had me worried for a minute there...
I would not have believed that McDonald would allow that sort of crap to happen.

VA military ballots will count? Awesome. God bless America.
-
Thank God, I was outraged, but, even so, I'm going to double check with my Son in VA Beach.

That'll piss the Obamatons off

My husband brought up a good point about Virginia. He wonders if there is a good portion of the residents in northern Virginia who work for defense contractors and since Bawney Fwank shot off his mouth a couple of weeks ago about cutting 25% from the military defense budget, some of those people may actually change over to McCain. When it comes right down to it, they would prefer to save their own hides and $$$$ than vote for Obama.

Final polls tight in key states, with Obama enjoying small advantage (http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/1108/Final_polls_tight_in_key_states_with_Obama_enjoying_small_advantage.html?showall)
The final round of Mason-Dixon polls has Obama enjoying small leads in the red states that would deliver him the presidency, but he's below 50 percent in each and there are enough white undecided voters to leave some too close to call.
Colorado: Obama 49, McCain 44, Undecided 4
Florida: Obama 47, McCain 45, Undecided 7
Nevada: Obama 47, McCain 43, Undecided 8
Pennsylvania: 47, McCain 43, Undecided 9
Virginia: Obama 47, McCain 44, Undecided 9
Ohio: McCain 47, Obama 45, Undecided 6
Missouri: McCain 47, Obama 46, Undecided 5
North Carolina: McCain 49, Obama 46, Undecided 5
More of the same news. :couch:

An those lying to the polsters are ?% ? That is the "problem" with this election, what is the number of Dem's saying "Oh, yes, I'm voting / voted Obama!" while lying thru their teeth? Actual Truman/J. F. Kennedy Dem's detest Obama and could easily vote against him.

I don't think that's the final word. there was some controversy in fairfax, and apparently the county official relented. the attorney general's finding is no small deal, but the mccain campaign just filed suit to have the military ballots counted statewide
McCain Sues to Force Va. to Count Military Ballots
John McCain's campaign sued Virginia's electoral board today, hours before the election, seeking to force the state to count late-arriving overseas military ballots.
The lawsuit asks a federal judge to order the State Board of Elections to count any overseas absentee ballots sent by November 4 and received by local election officials as late as November 14.
McCain claims the rights of military voters are protected by the federal Uniform and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Rights Act of 1986.
The campaign's complaint says that Virginia military voters posted overseas who support the Republican nominee will be denied their right to vote unless the court grants the order.
No hearing was scheduled by early this afternoon.

According to the Bob Krumm article I just posted L'il 'O is in NC to shore-up what should easily be a blue state but it won't be blue if neighboring VA flips red.
That would mean L'il 'O has to win virtually EVERY battleground state to win, whereas McCain can lose 1 or 2 and still prevail.

heard something on the radio about this, I trust McDonald will get this taken care of.

BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This should easily be a red state and not blue. I don't think it will come out blue. He won kinda big in the primary cause people like me voted for him.
I really hope NC doesn't turn blue due to the triangle and Charlotte.

undecided is the new Bradley effect.
Here's hoping folks in the Midwest read those "coal" comments of the Messiah.
-
Good point.
VERY good point as those jobs don't translate very evenly to other fields. I was up in NVa a few months back visiting friends who are actually defense contractors. They really wanted to be excited about the Zero but they also like getting paid crazy money to do what they do.
-
lol Hi5
Another Hi5 for Schade. Let's all hold our collective breath and think McCain tomorrow. Maybe I'll carry SRs Saracuda button in my purse for good luck tomorrow at the polls.
-
all we have to do is go out and vote.
God seems to want McCain to win in Va and NC, its going to rain tomorrow !
