Back to routines tomorrow. I played an X-Box 360 game till the wee hours like a dumbass and am all groggy today. I would have been anyway without the game as I sleep for squat when my better half is away. :p
It is overcast, drizzly and yucko outside. I curled up on the sofa under a quilty blanket with my mancub and watched a show about dinosaurs with him. The 6 foot long prehistoric sow bug freaked him out. :-)
I cannot freaking believe it is November and I want the elections over with.
I have to hire an exterminator to debug the house before winter and get a new rear view installed on my wife's Freestyle to replace the one she took out with a traffic barrel this week. Fun stuff.

Ah yes--video games--the guilty pleasure of the middle-aged such as myself.
I came of age in the era of Pac-Man, Tempest, and Asteroids, but I'm not above some serious flight simulator or Tiger Woods Golf on the Wii at home.

I went over to my friend's house last night for the usual gathering of people. Good times. Too good really, I actually have a bit of a headache this morning. :(

Cleaning today, and organizing the stuff that tends to get set in the garage waiting for a permanent home.
I frigging HATE the time change...messes me up something awful!

We got an hour back --- what's the problem? You just roll over and go back to sleep..

It's the rest of the day that's off ...I look at the clock, and it's like "Holy crap it's only xx o clock?....and I hate when it gets dark at 5....and I hate the grumpiness I'm going to get from my kids when they are up "an hour later" than normal, because the clock only says 8:00, so no way will they (he) go to bed when he's actually tired.
:censored: :banghead:

Been fighting a cold for a couple of days...It hit me between the eyes last night. :(
We're having a birthday dinner for my mother-in-law today. I made spaghetti sauce, and my wife made lasagna. I'm all hopped up on Robitussen and Sam Adams Irish Red (not bad, btw.).
"Go hang a salami; I'm a lasagna hog" is the longest palindrome I know.

Hasn't been unremitted fun for me, it's a Battle Assembly weekend and we got an unexpected visitor from HQ today, though that went well.
-
Well, shit. It's already dark outside. The sun went down an hour ago.
feh. :censored:

I didn't realize that it was DLST until I read this thread.
Grump.
I just reset all the stupid clocks.

Finished the window/ door exchange project I started yesterday. Had to adjust the door, install trim and then finish trim the hole that the door once was. I hate trim work !!!
-
*sigh* home from work again, and I have to be at the damned car dealer at 8 am so my car can have its adjustments (stereo) and actual repairs (window). :(
Good thing I have leftover pizza from a couple days ago. Nice and COLD! :cheersmate:

I sent out text messages this morning that said "spring back, fall forward, set your clocks ahead" a couple people fell for it..... :rotf:
Seen some live music last night, had one drink and was home in bed by 10.
Friday night after work I went out with a co-worker and she got so trashed she called in sick on Saturday morning. I was asked to go in and work a few hours in her place, but I was tired and doing laundry, as she did not leave my house until 2 AM Saturday morning.
I told her that I was "cutting her off" but she kept drinking....I guess that her husband is really pissed at me..... :innocent:
Oh well.
Today I made a pot of chili and shared it with the neighbors. Tomorrow starts a 7 day work week for me. The first week of the month is crazy busy...
Might have a visitor from CC in a week or so....I will make reservations here for dinner: http://www.pahrumpwinery.com/symphony_restaruant/restaurant_1.htm
Wine infused food....yummy. The Lobster Bisque Rocks!!!
I am drinking a White Russian and ready for my return to work...

During brunch, there was open booths, but no tables left.
I shared my table with a disabled vet (Marine) in a wheelchair and his wife. She is a 7th grade math teacher, very nice folks.
We had a nice talk, he says Nevada is alot more "Vet Friendly" then where they used to live in OR & WA. He said, the anti-war folks would even steal his American Flags. He knows one vet in a wheel chair that was spit on. I am sure DUmp would be proud!
