Title: Saturday!
Post by: Miss Mia on November 01, 2008, 09:24:33 AM
I took a second job and today is my first day.   I'm working as a receptionist at a real estate office.  I sit here and look pretty and they pay me.  It's regular hours on Saturday, plus 12-4 on Sunday and I get around $100 for the weekend, and it's just every other weekend.

Not too shabby.

This evening I'm headed over to the usual Saturday night drunkfest.   :cheersmate:

So far the phone has rang once and it was one of the agents and one fax has come in.

I'm reading an exciting chapter on dealership's financial statement (the GM financial statement) and what each page details.  Fun.

I wondered online early today due to a lack of good college football games. (early broadcast here anyway)

May or may not go to a "Halloween" party tonight.

Beautiful weather... should be outside. (maybe a jog later)  :p

I have two friends coming over for dinner tonight. I'm making lasagna. The sauce is cooking right now. I'll put the rest together and pop it in the oven closer to when they get here.

Sprucing up the apartment and surfing the internet are the only things I'm doing in the meantime.

Lasagna sounds delicious.  I don't know what dinner will be.  I'm thinking a little nap before heading out to my friend's house this evening.

Did the laundry, cleaned the house a bit, paid bills, and went grocery shopping over at Wally World.

Lobsters (chicks, about 1 to 1-1/4 lbs each) for $3.99/lb.  I bought 4 to replace the lobster I lost when the chest freezer tripped off.  Yum.

Did lots of working out already...warm enough for a run and then st and yoga. Getting ready to have a late Halloween party for the kiddies before I head out for an evening with the other half and some friends. Really awesome weather.

Kids had a blast yesterday. Laundry is about half done, but gotta pause it so my mother can do hers. Probably tend to the upstairs bathrooms tomorrow and put the clean laundry away--otherwise working out and studying for a midterm I'm going to take Wed. We are all going out for lunch somewhere too..not sure where yet.

Probably put away all the Halloween decorations right after the midterm in favor of a few turkeys, the fall decorations, and a couple pilgrims here and there. I think I may start pulling out the Christmas decs for the front of the house so we can get them up before it cools down too much again(they won't be removed--the lights anyway--until it warms up in March  :-))

Well my oldest's playdate is about to wrap up so I'm out that way in a few.

Long day today....1st playoff game for interleague championship was today, and again, PeeWee Broncos prevailed!  AND we were minus our center, who had his foot broken in the game last week when a 140 lb 7 yr old stomped on it.    We are in the final four.   On to next Saturday.

Our game was at 9, and there were 4 games after us, so we stayed for ALL of them!  Just finished a dinner of breakfast favorites, and am planning on doing nothing else tonight!

I removed and window and turned it into a doorway. Then I installed the door. Since ****ing Sears is too anal about my past transgressions, I might try a move towards self-employment. Remodeling/ handyman work.

Dinner was good. Friends have headed home now. I'm relaxing with a Sam Adams before I have to clean the dishes.

This is why I don't have people over very often. I hate doing dishes for myself, let alone others! I'm not sure I would be a very good mom. I don't like housework all that much.  :-)

Oh yeah.  I got some quality neighbors.

Why does that one apartment always seems to attract the freaks?  Is it some Bermuda Triangle of Assholishness?

Home from work.  Have I ever mentioned that I hate my job?  :banghead:

At least my neighbors seem to have shut up for now.

Beer and Snickers? mmmmm.  :)

For now they may have shut up, but given my personal experience,  people like that always start back up again at the worst times possible.

My room-mate's gone until tomorrow, thank God.  It's quiet here.  I can get some sleep without her chatting away on the cellphone until 3 am.

That one apartment in the front (next to me) always seems to attract the dumbass young'uns.  The second-to-last batch were awful and it took months to get rid of them and their damn 3am music.  The last group were almost as bad, but they were gone in six months.  This group is pretty quiet unless they invite their friends over.

I sympathize, my friend. Every six months or so, someone new occupies the unit directly below me and each time I have a problem with them. I pretty sure the current tenant is growing pot.

Apartment living is awesome.  :whatever:

I spoke too soon.  They're back.   :whatever:

I think their "friends" live in the apartments across from them.  Yay.  Instant Par-tay.

No proof of anything. Just a lot of little things. He's just odd and I feel like something weird is going on down there.

I had a couple friends that actually tried that at one time.  Only one of them was successful.  It was your average weed.  Nothing great, but it was a good thing there was a lot of it.  The other one ended up getting his plant stolen.

I have my ear protectors from the firing range, but they're not comfortable enough to sleep in.
