CHICAGO (AP) — Pulitzer Prize-winning author and activist Studs Terkel has died at 96.
Colleague and close friend Thom Clark says Terkel's family confirmed his death today.
Terkel's is best known for his street-wise portrayals of the working class.

In the mid-1970s, he came out with Hard Times, in which those who survived the Great Depression described their experiences. That one was pretty good; I read other of his books later, but none of them were that good.

Yeah, he did live in the Daley Domain, Chicago.

I tried reading one of his books. Something about a pissed off Irish kid that hated Jews and wanted to have sex with his sister? I think I made it though 3-4 chapters.
