Title: Chicago author, activist Studs Terkel dies at 96

CHICAGO (AP) â€” Pulitzer Prize-winning author and activist Studs Terkel has died at 96.

Colleague and close friend Thom Clark says Terkel's family confirmed his death today.

Terkel's is best known for his street-wise portrayals of the working class.

In the mid-1970s, he came out with Hard Times, in which those who survived the Great Depression described their experiences. That one was pretty good; I read other of his books later, but none of them were that good.

Yeah, he did live in the Daley Domain, Chicago.

We can't expect any less.
