What's on y'all's agenda?? Trick or treating tonight?? I've been up since 0315, so, who knows what I'm going to do. I am kind of waiting on the results of a job interview.

I hope the job interview comes out, if that's a job you want.
No plans for today, although it'll be a busy weekend.
Today I took the cat Harold to the veterinary for his exhaustive examination and sample-collecting; I'll pick him up later. Then I take another one in on Monday, and then on Tuesday, and then on Wednesday.....until they've all been exhaustively checked.
I don't make appointments for specific cats; I just make an appointment, and bring in whatever cat's handy at the moment, that hasn't been checked yet.
I'm looking forward to next week; there's still time for the Great Discombobulation to happen on Skins's island.

By the way, we need at least 600 comments today, to meet a goal (my goal) for October. We've had days with over 1000, so it's not impossible.
"Topics posted" is right on the mark, but of course the more the merrier.
I know, I know, it's sort of cheating, to drive something, but I like to be right once in a while.

I spent yesterday driving to Birmingham and back (7 hours on the highway), plus meetings all day. I'm beat. Now I have to catch up on all the office work that didn't do itself yesterday. :bawl:
Fortunately I live waaaay out in the country, so no yard apes children begging demanding asking for candy at my front door all evening.

We had 60 to 70 MPH winds last Friday for 2+ hours so I'm still picking up limbs and pecans.

My plans have completely changed. I WAS going to be attending a ghost tour/pub crawl downtown, but as it was canceled due to lack of interest, I don't know what I'll be doing. I may end up just hanging out around here, though I may still put on my costume. *sighs*

I'm at work. Today is my dad's birthday and I'm taking him out to dinner this evening. I'm forgoing taking my nephews trick or treating.
I'm not going to be home and the light by my front door doesn't work anyways, so I'm not passing out candy.

I am cleaning and then going out to buy candy for the little carpet apes when they come around tonight.

Trick or treating was last night here in town. As I said, it's a nice thing when you live on a very STEEP and unlit hill. No TP, no eggs, no kids, and a good thing because I didn't realize it until after the bonfire/inferno in my neighbor's backyard that last night was kiddie night.

I bought a present for myself Wednesday night. A few years ago all my CDs were stolen. In the years since, I haven't really replaced many of them. It was a sad sad day when they were stolen, I had the most wonderful CD collection.
Anywho, Wednesday night I purchased 5 CDs on Amazon, and they came in the mail today! This makes me happy. :-)

If your computer has the capability, I suggest you burn all the cd's you bought (and buy in the future), in case it happens again. I've made sure that, since I had a bunch of cd's taken while I was at GSU, to do 3 things: put ALL cd's I buy on my computer, make a cd copy of each album, as well as rip them to my mp3 player.

I guess I was fortunate that most of the cd's that were taken from me were ones I didn't listen to anymore (and I doubt anyone else does, either. LOL) I was especially upset because some of the cd's belonged to my mom (some older Elton John cd's, Enya, Enigma, Chronicles of Narnia soundtrack, etc). I replaced those cd's eventually, but its still frustrating to think about.

Thanks, Rob. :) They took Charlie and Emma (the GF) trick or treating last night, and those costumes (Raggedy Ann and Andy) were a big hit with the neighbors. Charlie did quite well for his first Halloween outing in regards to the goods. ;)

Enjoyed the last day of hubby's vacation with him. Didn't do anythign special, just ran errands and putzed around.
Tonight I am taking my daughter and a couple friends to the High School football game. Mr Flame will take the young one out for the candy haul and the middle child will be in charge of handing out candy.
Inter-league playoff game for the young one early in the morning, so he's already been instructed he's not allowed to stay up til the wee hours and mow through all his candy.

It's Tuesday for me. I get outta work abnout 10:30 tonight, then I'll be heading over to a local hobby store of mine where they are having a raffle for a $500 shopping spree at Midnight. I got 24 tickets so I'm hoping to be a little lucky tonight.

You know, has anybody ever gotten weird treats on Halloween, when a kid?
The only one I can think of was when I was a little lad circa 7 or 8 years old.
There was a poor old woman who lived in a tarpaper place near the Union Pacific main line, and none of the other kids wanted to go there. There was a rule about how one wasn't supposed to cross the tracks--this was the main line of the most important railway in America, remember, and it had a lot of trains--but really, I think the other kids were just scared of the poor old woman.
I ventured forth. She seemed very surprised to see me, but invited me in, where she sat me down next to the stove and fixed a grilled-cheese sandwich. She told me a lot of things, but alas being deaf, I didn't hear them.
To my dying day, I'm always going to be intensely curious what she told me.

LOL! Yeah, I noticed that when I first downloaded and opened it in the Picture Manager, where the photo got especially large.
They're 1 year olds... so this is their first real Halloween (well its Emma's first Halloween...Charlie was dressed up as a pumpkin when he was barely one month old last year :) ), so I would expect that kind of look on their face. :lmao:
I need to dig up my first Halloween photo, because I'm pretty sure I had the same look on my face. :uhsure:

We tried dressing Daniel up in this cute little halloween outfit today, but the zipper broke on it so we couldn't zip it up. Kinda a shame, woulda made some great pictures.

Had a closing this afternoon ....thank You, God!!!.....chatted at the office a bit, went to the bank to put a check in and get some cash for the weekend, stopped at the grocery store, got some groceries....went to pay for them....no wallet - no debit card. :thatsright: Left it laying on my desk at home.....thank heavens I got enough cash out of the bank to pay for the groceries..... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: I felt soooo stupid.
