I was inspired by an email I received (and a slow day at work) to do a poem for the political season, complete with URLs to articles you can look at if you are still one of those undecided voters. It is meant in good humor:
It looks like Senator Obama
is closing in on a historic win,
but it's not too late for voters
to take a closer look at him.

I know it's difficult, with the media
fawning over his every word.
the liberal bias in this election
is bordering on the absurd.

He wants to raise taxes on the rich,
that's sure to make economy good.
Let's "spread the wealth around"
like a modern day Robin Hood

When it's other people's money,
generous is Obama's tone.
Someone should let him know
that charity should begin at home.

He opposed the surge in Iraq,
and if you judge by recent history.
Obama's policy of withdrawal will
snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Unlike his wife Michele Obama,
who seems to have his ear,
I've been proud of our country
even before this election year.

I would not spend my Sundays
in the Church of Jeremiah Wright
only to throw him under the Bus,
when his "sermons" came to light.

I often hear that it's Republicans
that are trying to buy this election,
Yet it was Obama that broke his word,
and opted out of the finance system.

It's a bit comical to me when
I hear Obama supporters say:
Palin is not experienced enough,
but our candidate is A-OK.

Obama's VP choice is known for
plagiarism and political gaffes.
His history lesson on the great
depression is good for a few laughs.

Unlike his opponent, McCain has
actually worked across party lines,
In Obama's brief time in the senate,
He voted with his party 97% of the time.

Make a wise decision when you vote,
and let them hear your voice.
I respect every one's political views,
so long as it's an informed choice
