Although it wasn't quite as nippy as initially forecast, 10 cold records were broken across the southern third of the state on Wednesday morning.

That included three in South Florida: It was 50 degrees in West Palm Beach, breaking the record of 51 degrees for Oct. 29, set in 1944; 52 in Pompano Beach, breaking the record of 56 degrees, set in 1990, and 55 degrees in Miami Beach, beating the record of 58 degrees, set in 1943.

Poor, dumb Al.  He needs to give that Oscar and Nobel Prize back to someone who actually deserves it.

How true, how true. But he won't.  Still waiting for ANY of his "predictions" to show the slightest sign of happening. His score's still a perfect ZERO.

there's actually a name for this;  The Gore Effect (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Gore+Effect)

Quote
Gore Effect

The phenomenon that leads to unseasonably cold temperatures, driving rain, hail, or snow whenever Al Gore visits an area to discuss global warming. Hence, the Gore Effect.
