Why have I had to wait the past three decades for this? Is this an example of how the times produce the person that they require?

 :whatever:

The "times" needed a corrupt Marxist stutterer with a blank (erased) resume?  How odd.

Yes -- the new york times and the los angeles times are working overtime to create this person as the winner.

The joke is that those who worked so hard for this will be on the unemployment rolls inside of a year, should their plan come to fruition.

Or even if they don't come to fruition.  Do you honestly think America is going to look the same way at the unmitigated line of bullshit the Obamessiah's Heavenly Chior has been passing off as journalism these past two years if it can be demonstrated that they can't orchestrate a coronation like they've been claiming all this time?

Shares of the New York Times are already rated at junk-bond investments.  The Los Angeles Times had to lay off 75 of it's news room bottom feeders last week.  More people get their news from AM radio and the Internet these days than they do the alphabet soup of broadcast channels.  All this, because people aren't interested in being sold a crap sandwich when they're looking to buy the information they need to manage their lives.

Before we crow too much -- the "fairness doctrine" is warming up in the wings.

Yeah, so it is.  Does that mean that when they "Big Brotha" the Innerwebs and radio, you're going to go back to being spoon-fed pablum from institutions you don't trust?

You and I have the interwebz.  But we now know that almost 50% of Americans are total idiots, easily led by their noses (I am basing that in the pls for those who support the messiahnfuhrer).  If they are easily led astray by pablum such as "hope" and "change" and "the rich is evil folk and we gonna get 'em" then subsidized speech for thoughts that can't compete in the marketplace of ideas, like those of ko and af will no doubt infuence them as well.

I have never been more disappointed in Americans as I am now.

interestingly, Campbell Brown (CNN) actually wrote a piece today calling Obama a liar for promising to take public financing, then renigging on that promise.

i know its less than a week til the election, but the press might be starting to wake up.... maybe.

Incidentally and completely off topic for the moment, the highlighted word above is properly spelled, "R-E-N-E-G-G-I-N-G".

If I didn't know better, I might get it in my head that your opposition to the Obamessiah was racist in nature, Lauri. :II:

Didn't watch the infomercial last night.  Sounds like I didn't miss much.

What a presumptuous, pompous, arrogant ass.

I've looked all over, for the ratings, the audience, of the Obamamercials, and can't find anything.

Anybody have any idea how many people watched?

The combined overall household rating for Senator Barack Obama’s Wednesday night infomercial, in the top 56 local television markets where Nielsen maintains electronic TV meters, was 21.7.

National ratings for the infomercial will be available from Nielsen Thursday afternoon.

Neilsen (http://blog.nielsen.com/nielsenwire/media_entertainment/217-of-households-in-top-local-tv-markets-watched-obama-infomercial/)

Major Garrett on Fox News said approx. 20 million watched.

I figured it would probably take a couple days for the numbers to come out.

I'll be interested to see if that number is higher or lower than their regular viewership, ie. people turning their televisions off.

Prime time on seven network outlets and all he could get was 20 million?  Not a good sign.

The nightly news on the three major networks usually brings in around 18-20 million viewers a night, about the same size audience as Rush Limbaugh.

Deep, deep left field.

On edit:  20 million?  I would've thought there would be more dedicated Obamites than that who would tune in just to gaze on The Presence.

I was thinking somewhere in the cheap seats, west of the 3rd base foul pole.

By the way, I'll send you the bill for the new keyboard, DAT.  You should know better than to post shit like that at lunchtime.   :cheersmate:

Then I suppose we will have to revert to underground radio as they did during WWII.
