27. I actually fired a Thompson at 10 years old. Idiots, the lot of them, as you say for having let me do that. Even though the occasion was shooting rats at the town dump, and the TSMG had a Cutts compensator at the end of the barrel, my skinny-assed little self ended up punching the last five or six rounds in an absolutely vertical direction.
Some SERIOUSLY defective adults, to have let me do that. I could have been that kid.
That ****ing moron of a father. I hope he re-lives the nightmare of today for the rest of his life.

I fired a .30-06 when I was six. I wound up knocked to the ground holding my shoulder and grinning like a loon. Of course, I had my own rifle when I was 8. So did most of my friends, guess all of our parents were remiss.

I fired my dad's Mauser 98 (it had been a war trophy that he had rebarrelled to an '06) when I was 12. I was impressed with the kick. It didn't knock me on my fourth point of contact, however.
Some time ago, there was a controversy at the DUmp about having a young child watch her parents having sex. I'd be interested in seeing where the bird-punching stoned primitive came down on that.
