Foundation for Rabbit-Free Australia chairman Tim Rogers said there could be a catastrophic increase when the drought broke and feed was plentiful.

The Day is coming for bunnies and their allies according to the Bible. God Almighty will unleash His violent wrath on filthy God-hating blasmphmers and mockers of God. Please pray for more bunny deaths, prefarably all bunnies are exterminated from this planet. A bunny free world will free humanity from evil and torture.

Well , here's your problem...
Thing is, there's a lotta space down there. A lotta small towns and rural people. Not a great many witnesses leftists there to complain to the relevant body.

Rabbit traps are banned? Where?
Hell, free meat - as long as you get them checked out first. I figure that would be the easiest way to catch them.

I'd be pretty uneasy about eating the rabbits in question. Unless you were really, really sure. All the ones I've seen have been dirty brown things that have running eyes and often open sores.

LC EFA, what's with that? Did your PETA-philes manage to outlaw killing off the hoppy little vermin?

Yep. Pretty much.
The deeply crazy environmentalists (and the animal libbers are a component of that) have a disturbing level of political pull.
Much of the game is "protected" and this has resulted in plague proportions. One still can't without a permit legally harvest any. The rules vary a bit on feral animals. Especially on private land. Especially in remote areas where attitudes are a lot more relaxed.
