SO..I am a teacher, I have lost weight and needed new clothes. I spent less than 400 bucks
I got 10 different shirt/blouses
4 sweaters
3 pairs of pants
2 new bras
all for under 400 bucks and they look just as stylish as phalin's new wardrobe
and I got them all at Christopher and Banks...yesterday was 40% off day
the bras were at Victorias secret ...hehe
why would anyone spend more
I felt really guilty but I needed the clothes and at 40% off, I felt like it was okay
I could NEVER spend what palin spent
It just started, but I'm sure it'll heat up. For someone so poor like Greenbriar said she is, I'm surprised that she has $400 to spend on clothes. :whatever:
-
$400 for clothes?
On a teachers salary?
In a * economy?
How is that even possible?
-
Hmmm...why didn't she try GoodWill??? :-)
-
Why did she need 10 shirts? If they were for work, 5 would have sufficed. She would then have had extra money for food.

I wish I had $400 to spend on clothes. I usually shop at Old Navy and hit up sales. :)

She's on the taxpayers dime... Economic and performance based considerations don't really have any effect on her pay.

The PX works just fine for me...though during the work week my wardrobe is pretty limited.

I've also gotten a few simple sweaters from Target, pretty cheap. :)

Why save money for food when she can just go to food pantries. :whatever:

Heh, for a moment there I thought she might have had sensible priorities, how silly of me. :thatsright:

Likewise, though in an effort to make the Air Force more combat oriented, the AF Chief of Staff has mandated that the entire AF (restricting those on the flightline, or Security Forces) no wears Blues on Mondays. :whatever:

She spent $400 and did not purchase one suit. How is this relevant to Sarah Palin again?

Greenbriar also isn't giving campaign speeches, interviews, etc. she just has to dress up for the students.

And if you notice, she seems to be planning to go commando this semester.

I'm betting she got a Christopher and Banks credit card in the mail, credit limit $400.
I'm also betting she won't be able to pay it back.
Furthermore i doubt she is a teacher.

I believe her that she's a teacher.

She's a lard ass. No wonder her ole man's a drunk.

SO, my son and I needed haircuts the other day and we went down to the local barber shop. It cost me $24.00 for TWO haircuts.
Just sayin'.

On the first point, you're probably right, sir.
On the second point, the greenbriar primitive is a teacher, in or near Wichita, Kansas (not to be confused with the dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher, the "Proud2BLib" primitive, who teaches in suburban Kansas City, Kansas).
The greenbriar primitive teaches social studies to 8th graders.
I know, I know.....
-
OK, I stand corrected. In my defense, I was operating on the principle that DUmmies LIE all the time.
Poor kids, poisoned by a primitive. I can only wonder about the hate and venom she spews into the classroom.
-

This was the only point to her thread that she wanted the rest of the DUmp to know.
Once again she waves her prosperity in their faces.
It doesn`t take a genius to recognize the script.

You know, when I go clothes shopping, I tend to get 1 or 2 pair of pants OR 1 or 2 shirts. If I buy 10 of anything, it's because I have 3 kids with me. Just saying...

That's always the best rule to follow, sir.
In the case of the greenbriar primitive, though, a few years ago she gave clues that she was a teacher. If she had said flat-out she was a teacher, there would have been good reasons to doubt her.
Ultimately the greenbriar primitive did say it, but by then, the fact had already been established.
Primitives lie all the time, but one finds the truth in things they say when they're so busy lying they're not paying attention to what they're really saying.
I offer you Doug's ex-wife and the commode-sitting sparkling husband primitives as examples.
-
And if you notice, she seems to be planning to go commando this semester.
ewwww :rotf:
-
The whole purpose of this thread was to advise the other DUmmies that she can spend $400 and it's no big deal.
Notice how many of DUmmy greenbriar's posts mention dollar figures that the other DUmmies cannot dream of affording.
The few DUmmies who work may average $400 take home pay for two weeks of work. And they are the DUmp elite.
-
^which makes her "I'm going to the food pantry" post all the more interesting.

This statement never ceases to make me shudder!

Had a teacher here doing that. She would sit on her desk and flash the third grade boys. I wondered where she moved too......now I know. "greenbriar"- scaring little boy minds since 1983.

No s*it!!!! Nowhere else but the DUmp could you find a moonbat elitist a-hole asking in one breath if the food is any good at the CHURCH run food pantries, and giggling "tee hee hee" over her retail shopping fun in the next.
Someone needs to screencap this stuff, along with the proud "DU has raised over $100,000 for Obama-Biden!" banner, and ask the annointed one if THIS is his base?
BO: "Of course not. Look, this is a very small number of extremists..."
"Uh, sir, this group is over "130,000" strong in their membership. And they gave you a lot of money. And you took it."

Except there aren't 130,000 members at DU. That includes all the people that have been banned or just don't even post there, and moles of course.

I've also gotten a few simple sweaters from Target, pretty cheap. :)
My style is pretty eclectic...I love Hot Topic and I hit the sales at Macy's...LOVE their shoes and handbags (there's also a local clothing store here that has KILLER stilettos and jeans for a great price), but most of my wardrobe is from Goodwill and Salvation Army. I see no reason to spend $40 for a sweater when I can get the same thing for $1. My Salvation Army has $1 tag sells everyday, last year I got a black motorcycle jacket for a buck. I couldn't believe it.

I hate shopping. I hate going to stores and having to wade through everything to find just 1 thing I actually like. I don't shop at Ross because you have to hunt, same thing with the Salvation Army (and it's near where I live too).
I'm and in and out kinda shopper. I like the sweaters at Target, usually around $10. I get most of my jeans and slacks from Old Navy. I also have found some good buys on eBay.

I've never thought of buying clothes on ebay. I get my athletic shoes there though. I just got a brand new pair of RYKA N-Gage cross trainers for $38, including shipping. But I LOVE to shop. I can spend hours in Ross and Salvation Army.

Yeah, I bought a really cute wrap dress on ebay. I do most of my shopping online if I can. I hate digging for stuff at stores...no really I just hate all the other people that are shopping, they're always in my way.

Oh I know - that's why I used the "quotes". But DU is so stinkin' proud of their bogus membership numbers, why not let the annointed one answer to it?
-
I absolutely love Salvation Army and Goodwill. Right now I am having issues getting the kids clothes there though. One kid is overweight and in plus sizes and the other kid is in slim sizes. They are hard to find there. I got a whole bunch from a mom around here for free and since my son grew out of the jeans I found a great new home for them. It sucks when your kid is a weird size.

I hit all the Salvation Army stores in the area. I buy Top of the line golf shirts and sell them on eBay. I make 2 to 3 hundred a week.

Walmart has a brand of jeans called Faded Glory that are $14.95 and fit great. Sam's has Smiths for the same price. I can buy them in my size and know they are going to fit. I can also throw them in the washer and dryer and they will still fit. I used to by Ralph Lauren jeans that after about 4-5 washings.....they were about 2" shorter. If I wanted short jeans...I would have bought them short! :thatsright: :thatsright:
Walmart carries White Stag ...when I was a kid...that was a very expensive brand. They also carry Ocean Pacific, Levi's, and Lee's. Dollar General has Bobbie Brooks....also what all the girls wanted in high school. I do like Ross's and Marshall's, too. I very rarely go into Dillard's or Belk's anymore. Ross's carries Ralph Lauren....at a quarter of the price at Dillard's.
The only time I buy 10 shirts at a time is if I've picked up a couple of packs of undershirts for M!!! ::)

I googled Good Will and it certainly caused some controversy here: http://www.backwoodshome.com/forum/yabb/forum.pl?board=fin-frugal-living;action=display;num=1148152268
Charity shops here are very variable, I try and go to ones in nice areas as better stuff gets given away there. There is one though which has some branches as bookshops only and they are ridiculously over priced (and they've also already sold the best stuff on ebay).

Would be nice, wouldn't it? But hell, even on sale my jeans are $30, and long underwear for those slightly "brisk" mornings that drop to -15 or -20 with a -50 wind chill go $35 a set. Mind you, this is at Kohl's, not Neiman-Marcus or some crap like that.
Meh. Maybe she can hit up the "clothes bank". I hear it's right next to the food bank.

She spent $400 and did not purchase one suit. How is this relevant to Sarah Palin again?
Sarah Palin cannot win this one; if she shows up in the same suit/skirt all the time, they'll call her a deadbeat who isnt sophisticated enough for the job.
She would be skewered by the leftie women in the media for wearing the same outfit twice.
She's already spoken too much about it.. she needs to let them keep making it an issue and she needs to move on.
