More evidence that the early voting Obamtsunami simply doesn't exist. According to Gallup. (http://www.gallup.com/poll/111430/Early-Voting-Now-11-Could-Reach-30.aspx)

Early Read on Early Voting, Could Reach 30%
Obama and McCain supporters voting early at about the same rate
by Frank Newport
PRINCETON, NJ -- Gallup Poll Daily tracking data indicate that about 11% of registered voters who plan to vote have already voted as of Wednesday night, with another 19% saying they plan to vote before Election Day. Roughly equal percentages of Barack Obama supporters and John McCain supporters have taken advantage of the early voting opportunity -- so far.

Encouraging news, that actually flies in the face of the polling data provided by groups such as, well... Gallup. Once again, believe nothing you read about polls. It just doesn't make any sense. Read the rest at the link above.

wow. early voters aren't obama voters. first time voters aren't obama voters. all we need is for the never present youth vote to not show up again, and there will be some very surprised people on election day.
I wanna see the look on some people's face in the MSM when they are forced to say "Vice President Elect Sarah Palin".

Well, the Gallup article itself does try to cover its tracks by saying something to the effect of 'though the percentages are the same, Obama still outweighs in total ballots cast so far' which, when compared to the early voting in Colorado article posted yesterday just doesn't hold water.
As for 'swing state', Colorado is about the swingiest. If there is no Obama Pile-on there, there probably isn't anywhere else-- save for early voting, hopelessly blue states.

the whole obama phenomenon powered by "enthusiasm" and "excitement". he should be flooding the country with first time voters and early voters . . . . unless the whole thing is crap. :uhsure:

depends on who you listen to, but that's the flip side of the argument. kerry was an absolute train wreck of a candidate, and came within 60,000 votes in ohio of being president. this year we have a better situation in iraq, but this financial mess hanging around republican's necks (unfairly, of course, but it's there), and the dem candidate is about 1000 times more compelling this year. and we are running a weaker candidate than 2004.
this year is confusing the hell out of me.
