Good thing Floridians are lazy and mostly voted already via absentee....It MAY go to Giuliani or Romney...
-
mccain will be our nominee. we have to get used to it.
-
I disagree, I think Mitt will take it.

Can I get in on this bet? :cheersmate:
I say Romney...most people I talk to here that haven't already voted are swinging towards Romney, especially after Thursday's debate...in fact, I am too.
-
Not surprising.

I think Romney will win it too. McCain will peter out after Florida.

We're going to nominate a 72 year old Panamanian to be the Republican candidate for President of the United States?

yep. and he is a war hero. that plays into all of our weaknesses. mccain will be the nominee.
i don't like it, but I foresee it.

Heck the way this election is going so far I wouldn't bet on anything. Usually I can predict who will be the nominees but this time around it keeps changing.
As of now I am saying you are right though McCain will get it.

Mitt Romney courts neutral Jeb Bush
BOCA RATON, Fla. — Jeb Bush has been out of the Florida governor’s office for more than a year, but you’d hardly know it from the high profile he still cuts in state Republican politics.
And no one has attempted to tap into the deep reservoir of goodwill and admiration that still exists for him like Mitt Romney.

well, not that we trust polls at all, but Giuliani is running third in Florida right now... if he doesnt pull it off, i think he's done.

I think he was done 10 minutes after the results came back in NH, but that is just an opinion.
-
and Romney still has more delegates than McCain at this point ... i still dont think McCain can pull it off, but anything is possible.

yeah, he has a strange strategy this time around... its not really even compelling enough to watch, even as strange as it is..

Doesn't matter IMHO if Mitt gets an endorsement from Jeb or not.
The media already has picked who it thinks the nominees should be...and it's VERY streotyped to say the least.
The Stodgy old Republican v. the elegant Black Democrat.
It explains the softball treatment of both from the MSM.
13% for Cpt. Queeg = Comeback!
13% for Fred = sinking ship
Hillary holds the lead in delegates yet the media is slobbering over Barry.

RCP still has numbers up for Thompson. I'd like to see them updated. Jeb Bush and Lynne Cheney have both come out in favor of Romney.
McCain is leading Romney by five delegates: http://politics.nytimes.com/election-guide/2008/results/delegates/index.html

His own mother instructed republicans to hold their nose when they vote for him.... :rotf:

As much as I despise the NYT as a newspaper, their election site is pretty nice:

Charlie Crist is an orange waste of flesh. Terrible Governor, and has no idea the importance of business.

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/scorecard/#R
according to CNN, Romney has a decent lead.
However, CNN is beyond laughable when they are saying a McCain victory cements his status as a front runner, but a Romney victory makes the race wide open. The scorecard shows the exact opposite. The media is hoping that mcCain is nominated as he is not a true conservative. They want someone as close to the flaming left as they are
