Moms & Dads practice socialism every day of the week..
They pool the resources of the family (their wages) and they redistribute/SHARE those resources with ALL their children..
They do not say :
That smart one over there..the one with the straight A's and the helpful nature, gets extra, and the rest of you get nothing.
They don't say.. That one over there, the sick one..we can't afford to take care of him, so we'll just let his illness run its course.. They take the sick one to the doctor, even if it means sitting all night in a crowded ER... and when the bills roll in, it may mean that the other kids will get a little less, so the medical bills can get paid.
When it's dinner time, all the kids get a meal..not just the ones who happen to agree with Mom & Dad that particular day.
They don't just send the "smart" one to school... they send ALL the kids to school, and they help all of them with their homework, and encourage all of them..not just the smart one.
At vacation time, all the kids go..not just the "good" ones.
Family Values folks practice "socialism" every day of their lives, no matter what they call it

Obviously this dummie never heard of performance based allowances for kids. Punishment is also not meted out in a socialist manner.

Since my daughter is now old enough I let her pick something she wants. Then I put it on her weekly chore list and how many more weeks she has to go to get it. It's amazing how often her chores are all taken care of now.

also as strange as it moght seems to the avg Dumpster having steady & reliable incomes BEFORE having children works better for all involved.

When I was growing up us kids in our family got performance based allowances too. Cept it wasn't based on what we got for doing something it was what we would get if we didn't do it.

One thing psychologists have gotten correct is that behavior that draws attention, even negative gets reinforced. That is the reason that time-outs with young children work.
I tried to use positive reinforcement with my subordinates as much as possible. The project failed but my section was commended for the intense effort we put into it. We damn near did the impossible.

At least they have finally admitted that they want to be treated like children. Unfortunately for the DUmmies, most adults hope children are ultimately successful on their own and most adults look at the DUmmies and say sorry you're as far as you can go.

She's inspired me to check into conditions and diseases of women about to enter, or recently entered, the 7th decade of their lives, somewhat stout but not overly so, a reasonably comfortable standard of living, and whose main intellectual interest is hanging out with the "girls," bowling and soap-opera watching.

I pay them for good grades and fine them for bad ones. An F gets a fine equivalent to the bonus for an A, ditto with Ds and Bs. Cs get nothing.

It was the low-calorie primitive who a couple of months ago posted her husband's income (the low-calorie primitive doesn't work, herself) and deductions, "proving" that taxes aren't so high.
However, the low-calorie primitive omitted to list the deductions for social security and Medicare, and things "deducted" from income such as sales taxes, property taxes, "fees," &c., &c., &c.
