6. Alamance County is a KEY battleground for the entire state of NC.
Elon is 2 miles from my house, but you could not have PAID me to go see this bimbo. In retrospect, I hate I didn't go protest! This student was within his rights.
I found out later that DL Hughley was there - would have liked to have seen him (he was protesting Palin)

Instead of landing in LaGuardia Airport to begin a relaxing fall break at home, one Elon student spent Thursday afternoon sitting in the Alamance County jail in Graham, waiting for a $500 bail.
Sophomore Andy Milne was arrested for disturbing the peace at Gov. Sarah Palin’s campaign stop in Latham Park Thursday afternoon.
According to Milne, he went into the rally carrying Obama signs and began to hand them out to fellow Obama fans. He claims the Republican supporters working the event immediately swarmed him and attempted to forcefully take the signs.
“They grabbed my wrists in order to rip posters out of my hand,†Milne said.
Meredith Naughton, a friend of Milne and fellow Obama supporter, witnessed the event.
“People who were not police officers cornered him and were treating him as if they were [police officers],†she said.
Milne said it was after this initial altercation that members of the crowd began chanting “USA†at him.
“I started chanting USA with them,†Milne said. “I said, ‘That’s right USA, we need to not elect this woman for vice president of America.â€
It was when Milne also began shouting, “No blood for oil,†“Obama†and “Don’t shoot wolves from planes†that a police officer grabbed his hands and put them behind his back.
“Until I was accosted I wasn’t saying anything,†he said. “I was just holding a sign.â€
Palin responded to the event by calling on police officers to keep Milne in the rally, claiming it would do him some good to stay at the speech.
Milne was patted down, arrested and kept in the back of a police car for 30 minutes before being taken to the jailhouse where he was fingerprinted and assigned a $500 bail.
He missed his flight accounting for another $184 loss.
“I did go to the rally with the intention of supporting Barack Obama,†Milne said. “I did not go to the rally with the intention of being arrested. That was a very unfortunate event.â€
President of College Republicans Nick Ochsner was disappointed with Milne’s disruption of the rally.
“I was hopeful our Democratic peers at Elon could have an orderly exchange of ideas that would allow everyone to have their voices heard,†Ochsner said. “When we have people like him, acting the way he acted, it distorts any discussion we can have.â€
The rally had a free speech zone set up where protesters gathered to hold signs supporting Obama .
“The rally was not a protest event,†Ochsner said. “Everyone was invited if they acted respectfully and he couldn’t."
Milne was not paid by Obama for the stunt and claims his outbursts were justified and protected by the First Amendment.
“I think that we have a freedom of speech,†Milne said. “Students at Elon should be allowed to express their opinion.â€

Just what are they saying here?! My main man Obama is a deadbeat???!!!!!! They can't get away with that. If Obama said he would pay for the disruption he WILL PAY, it just may take awhile....they are after him for some lobster and shit.
