Title: Guess who else has tax liens?
Post by: TheSarge on October 17, 2008, 10:41:03 PM
Yesterday, the Tanning Bed Media discovered unpaid tax liens against Joe Wurzelbacher. Two days ago, we would have said, “Who?” He’s better known this week as Joe the Plumber after his impromptu dialogue with Barack Obama produced a blatantly redistributionist answer from the Democratic presidential candidate.

In their haste to pillory Joe for the audacity of asking a tough question of Obama, the Tanning Bed Media missed a couple of other interesting tax liens. Patterico does the work of the TBM:
Oh — I almost forgot to mention: Martin Nesbitt, the treasurer of Obama’s campaign, also has tax liens. So do his companies. You’d think that matters more than the tax liens of Joe the Plumber, wouldn’t you? But good luck finding a Big Media story about Nesbitt’s liens.

If tax liens are such an indicator of character and trustworthiness, wouldn’t it have more significance for the treasurer of a presidential campaign than for a man who just asked a question of the candidate? If the national media has such an interest in investigating a plumber who made a couple of national appearances, why wouldn’t they have at least the same interest in the people running a major party presidential campaign? Of course not.

The same people who instruct us that Barack Obama’s 20-year membership in Jeremiah Wright’s church while Wright called 9/11 “chickens coming home to roost” now interrogate Joe the Plumber on national TV about his brief flirtation with the Natural Law Party

It amazes me that the mainstream media has spent more time and effort in the last 36 hours to investigate Joe the plumber than they have spent in the last two years investigating Obama.

Joe the plumber is not running for president, Obama is

Joe The Plumber made the fatal mistake of speaking out against Teh Messiah.

Teh Messiah is a Liberal Democrat hence he and anyone is his orbit can never EEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER do anything wrong.

There are 100 members of Congress that have either written bad checks, declared bankruptcy, been cited for spousal abuse, arrested/convicted of crimes, owed taxes, etc. Looks like Joe the plumber tax problem is more serious than Bill & Hillary Clinton evading $100,000 for supposedly work she did in Whitewater.

I think this media attention will backfire on the Dummiecrats. Independent voters are sympathetic to a guy that is struggling to make ends meet; especially with so many having problems paying their bills due to a job loss, sickness or slow down in the economy. Most Americans exclusive of the far left are fair minded, and digging into an average guy's personal life is beyond the pale.

Well there is nothing to stop this information from being sent via e-mail to certain members of the conservative radio talk show networks

There was a time, not long ago, when folks could not talk among themselves from a distance.  They would watch their TVs and shake their heads, believing the crap Cronkite & Co. spewed.

It ain't that way anymore....and it is hurting liberalism.

The attack of this plumber guy is not selling well in the heartland.  Liberals cannot help themselves.  Destroying people is all they know.  Liberals think/have to pretend Cronkite-news is still king.

What's scary is when SR and I returned today from a short trip to Hannibal, Mo. through what has been traditionally solid Republican country, we saw so many signs for the Annointed One. I couldn't believe it.

There were quite a few McCain signs, but almost as many Obama. It's not a good omen. We're supposedly one of the bellweather states.

Nashville and our other major cities are about 50/50 politically speaking, while the rest of the state is solidly red. I'm not seeing as many political signs and stickers as I did in 2004 -- I think people may be getting burned out thanks to Obama's nearly two solid years of campaigning.  The number of McCain signs/stickers seems to match the Obamatron stickers since he named Palin as his VP pick.

Have you seen the round red-and-blue Obama/Biden stickers?  It almost looks like they were designed to be weathered and forgotten, still attached to some sad beater of a car fifteen years later.
