Drudge teased this earlier, and Fox News has announced that conservative radio and television host Glenn Beck is joining the network, leaving behind CNN's Headline News. Beck will host a show at 5 p.m. on Fox beginning in the spring (Full release after the jump).
It hasn't yet been determined when Beck's last day will be, but I've heard from a network source that Headline News was already preparing to re-air "Lou Dobbs Tonight" at 9pm, instead of Beck's show (which first airs at 7pm). When Beck leaves, Dobbs show will be in the 9pm slot, but no decision on 7pm.
"Glenn has been a terrific employee and colleague to many of us at CNN," a network spokesperson said in a statement. "We wish him well.â€
Now there is never a reason to watch CNN! :cheersmate: I love love love Glenn!

Bump "Studio B" off the line-up if nothing else
-
Finally a show (steady) to replace John Gibson.
-
Wonder who will replace Britt Hume.
-
I wonder if this means he will get a slot on their radio network as well?
Can you imagine him guesting for Hannity and putting Skeletor in his place?
:rotf:
-
That would be fun to watch especially if McCain wins the Election.
-
I like Glenn, but when will Mark Levin enter television?...they may bleep the entire show though...

Where's Britt going??

I do like Beck, but yeah.. Levin is my fav too.
As far as Beck's show, I actually liked it. Kind of goofy, but it was a nice change from seeing the other shit CNN had on, especially if you're at an airport, resturaunt, etc. and they happen to have the Cresent News Network's Headline News on and at 6PM, there's an hour of sanity.
-
This SUCKS!!!!!! I LIKE watching him at 7PM! 5? Hell, I'll miss half his damn show! :censored:
Hell, replace Greta!
-

Well, first off, he's on CNN HI, not CNN, and secondly, you've apparently never watched CNN HI in the mornings with Robin Meade. She's good-looking enough to turn a woman into a bi-sexual. :naughty:
I watch her in the mornings because A) I cannot STAND that Fox and Friends BS, and B) It is as apolitical as you can get. Oh, and C), I would give my left testicle for a shot at Robin.

Where's Britt going??
I heard them say he had hosted his last debate on Wednesday nite. But I haven't heard anything else. Does anyone have any news about Britt Hume? I think Jon Scott is a great news man. He hosts a show with Jane Skinner from 12 to 2. I hate to see Britt leave...I sure hope he doesn't go to another network. I hope he is just retiring. He is a nice man, IMHO.
Tickled to hear Glenn Beck is coming to Fox....I love Glenn!!!!!

Mark Levin is da bomb. Hope he doesn't have a stroke though. :o I love how he treats his liberal callers.

Retiring.

Retiring.
Indeed - He is in his mid 60s - I would too. Actually I'm surprised he didn't retire right after his son killed himself.

BillO is in his 70's
-
I think the huckabee show could be really good . . . . fox is teasing it a lot, and it looks pretty good.
-
Hot diggity dog! :cheersmate:
-
Glen's funny and quick on Rddio, but loses somethng on the tube. He needs some writers, to do well.

BillO is in his 70's
Bill O'Reilly is 59, mang.
-
Retiring.
When is Britt Hume retiring? If it was already posted and I missed it, sorry!
-
So sometime after the election, he's not sure when, he'll walk away from his daily broadcast and the network he helped create. (http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/fnc/brit_hume_reflective_as_he_approaches_his_fox_news_exit_97600.asp)

How sad!! He is a great guy. I am glad he continued his broadcasting after his son died. I am sure he helped him endure such a difficult time in his life. Hopefully, he will make guest appearances often. Wonder who is in the running to take his place at 6:00?
-
I'm glad Glenn Beck is finally going to a station where people will watch his show.
CNN is a joke.
-
Glenn has already been taking off. Lou Dobbs replaced him. Couldn't have been replaced by a livelier journalist. The guy is always in a coma when he speaks. Hopefully, CNN will continue to decline as Fox picks up more of their viewers.
-
Glenn Beck will be an added bonus to Fox. I heard them say he would be in the 5:00 time slot. I wish he would be given a later hour; more people would be able to watch him.
-
That will depend on his ability to get ratings, and I sure hope he's successful.
SAY, maybe CNN could get Rusty Humphries to take Glen's spot.......that'd be wild.
