Title: My Small Rant..
Post by: alarmrider on October 13, 2008, 08:57:38 PM: Well, I am not much of a ranter. However, here goes:

I was not a McCain fan, Fred was my guy. When McCain won the deal, I decided (A) Not to vote, then (B) Vote for McCain because in truth, I was voting against Bambi. I would drag myself to the polls and then have an adult beverage and drown my sorrows. Then (C), McCain nominates Governor Palin (Eureka! A conservative, a true actual conservative- McCain has a clue, O Happy Day!) Then McCain does what McCain does and calls Bambi a really swell guy and ignores the fact that Bambi is (A) A Socialist at best, (B) The Puppet of whomever, (C) The darling of the Hollyweird and the brain-dead left, (D) We cannot go there without major disclosure.

And all the lefty, subversive, shadow stuff Bambi is involved in is not noted by the MSM, and of course Johnny Jet, being Johnny Jet won't call the left and Bambi on the deal.

So now, yours truly is looking down the road and sees a large truck headed for our country with no run away truck stop and no shoulder, no matter what.

I ask myself this question, and I would ask that you ask yourself the same question:

How in the Hell did we get to this point where we have only these two choices?

What happened?

What to do. Well, focus on ourselves, family and friends, pay attention, stock up and keep your powder dry. IMO, no matter what happens with the election, it is not good.

I am disgusted and of the opinion that no matter what happens now, we are well and truly screwed.

To have almost 1/2 of them select a man child dilettante whose sole qualification is he was part of the chicago thug machine and he can read a teleprompter?

I am glad I don't have kids because if the messiahnfuhrer gets in the country will be ruined for a generation. His socialism wealth redistribution will scare capital out of the market -- a worldwide recession will be the result.

What makes you think McCain won't appoint someone equally repulsive? He brags about going against his own party, I wouldn't be so sure he'd appoint a conservative to the bench..In fact, I'd bet he would pick another Souter, AT BEST.

asdf, that's a phony argument.

Short of John Roberts being assassinated, or Scalia getting run over by a beer truck on the way home one evening, the four rock-ribbed conservatives on the SCOTUS bench are going to out-last every last one of the Ãœber-leftists currently serving. Hell, even Kennedy should out-last 'em.

The next two most likely to go are "Buzzy" Ginsburg, and John Paul Stevens. Both have been needing to retire for the past 6 years or so for health reasons, but they're not so much as taking potty breaks, for fear that W would do the ONE conservative thing that W has done his past 7+ years in office - put strict constructionist justices on the SCOTUS bench. So, if/when da BarackFather! fills in his change of address for 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, those two will slowly, casually uncross their legs, let go of the chair bottom they've been clinging to for 6 years, and declare a need to "spend more time with their families". Even if Oh-Bummer passes a self avowed Marxist neighbor with ties to the Weather Underground through a rubber-stamp senate to fill both of these seats, it doesn't change the balance of power in the SCOTUS as it currently stands.

Trying to scare people into voting Juan McCain by threatening a liberal SCOTUS bench is as foul a straw-man argument as we usually hear from leftists.

Because he may want to get reelected?

Because the last time a linguini spined President we elected tried to stick a Harriet Myers on the court we shut it down and got a good constitutionalist instead?

Because NOT voting for McCain sure as SHIT is going to put a lib on the bench and you won't have ANY say through your elected congress critters the way we did last time.

And anyone who thinks he's going to do WORSE than whatever socialist nuthole Obama throws up there is delusional.

Everybody needs to pull on their big girl pants and get a grip.

He ain't MY ideal candidate either but I'm gonna take the ugly bitch to the dance and waltz her.

Difference between McCain and Obama is that with John we MIGHT be able to lead a step or two when it matters.

How quick can we forgive or forget the "gang of 14" that saved the Dems from the "nuclear option" of an up or down vote on judges. John had his fingers all over that deal just for a good word from the farking NYT. (thanks asshole)

I can understand why. We also have a classified plan.

You would be surprised however at the number of people that are unprepared, even for the occasional power outage, or whatever. Never fails to amaze me...
