Why I Can't Stand Freepers (cowards)
Advertisements [?]I live on a dead end street with about fifteen houses on it. My wife and I are the only couple in our 20's with the rest of the people being in their 50's at least. Everyone has been super nice to use for the 5 years we've been here and I walk the street almost every day chatting with neighbors while walking the dog.
After putting out my Obama sign, I noticed the idle shit-chat sessions seemed to cease. I saw my neighbor who lives across the street at a local diner and when I asked him how he had been doing his reply was "where the hell did you get that sign?" I smiled and he then said, "I had a talk with your boss about that sign." Without going into too much detail, I work for an elected official (a republican).
When I went back to work, sure enough I hear this from the Big Boss, "I heard you got an Obama sign in your yard." At this point, I'm getting a little scared...does this seem a bit fascist to anyone else? So I tell him it's my sign and I will be voting for Obama next month. Then I have to hear all the usual talking points (terrorist, socialist, etc.) knowing what they really want to say is "******." I can see it on the faces of my coworkers.
Today I go outside to walk the dog and there is a McCain sign on the edge of my property by the woods. There is no other signs on the entire street and I don't think the land owner put it there. Unfortunately, it was actually about a foot on my side so it's now POW in my basement. I'm just so tired of the bullshit and if this affects my job, I will fight. I lost a lot of respect for a lot of people over this shit.
Don't talk to me, smirk all you want...****ing cowards.

Get another job when and if you can.
**** 'em. Tell em to go **** themselves on the way out the door. THey won't give you a good reference anyways.
Come to NOVA. We "commie country" to these ****bags. We live better too. My street is almost nothing but Obama signs (about 7 to one in my hood.)
and to your neighbor who "told the boss": How ****ing dare he tell you threaten you and your family by endangering your employment status based on his goosestepping ways.

5. Not that simple...
I love my job, and most of the people are good, just typical for this area. I don't have to see them much anyway. But if I lose a promotion over this shit...it's gonna hit the fan.

6. Yeah...
It's almost like, vote for who you wish...just keep it to yourself. Even told me this "I'll give you this, you've got balls." Balls? To place an Obama sign outside...WTF?
Still looking outside for the cop in a bush or you don't get any bongs!

11. I would never had treated my neighbors like this...
If everyone of them had a McCain sign outside, I'd still talk to them and even discuss politics civilly with them. But they can't, that's the difference. Too much hate in them...they are truly scared to death. Pathetic.

15. my civics teacher always replied that he voted for the secret ballot
I probably would have taken the fifth with a Republican boss. I guess my department head is a Republican, but she's not an elected official, and as a government worker, presumably we have rules and also members of both parties working there.
Freepers are not the only ones who get a little heated about politics. You felt like you had a right (duty?) to steal a yard sign too.
LOUSY FREEPER TROLL BASTARD!!!!!!!!
