The promised plan for this month is to demonstrate how Illinois Senator Barack Obama's lack of meaningful foreign policy experience is an insurmountable obstacle to his ability to lead the country during these troubled times.
No other issue is more important! After all, when the bomb explodes, after the building collapses or the train derails, it matters little if a citizen favors legal abortion or its abolition, gay marriage or traditional family values, the nanny state or personal responsibility; people under siege seek only to survive.
Debates during the Democrats' primary season exposed Senator Obama's glaring lack of international experience as well as his questionable prudence in this key area. During a 2007 debate in South Carolina, he was asked, "Would you be willing to meet ... during the first year of your administration, in Washington or anywhere else, with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea?" Senator Obama responded that he would, adding that punishing errant nations by not engaging them in dialogue is "ridiculous."
To quote Hillary Clinton, this response was "irresponsible and frankly naïve," and clearly indicated that Senator Obama does not understand how such meetings could be used as propaganda, should not be scheduled unless the intentions of these leaders are understood, and can easily make the international situation worse, not better.

I can already hear the cries of Oak Park liberals demanding to know how Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is any more experienced in international affairs than Senator Obama. He does have a point. Terrorists don't find the need to attack when they can get what they want from a leader who's willing to appease them. And B. Hussein would do exactly that.
