Big Media doesn't like one-sided headliner races, if their over-the-top Obamania has put McCain solidly in the underdog slot, they have to spin the other way enough to make it a horserace through Election Night.  It has nothing to do with fairness, and everything to do with their revenue stream.

AFAIK - team Obama's response is something to the effect of "That's not the Ayers I knew" -- even though Obama endorsed a recent Anti-American book by the domestic terrorist.
