What just happened? Indeed. We just witnessed members of the conservative party selling out to socialism. By them casting such a vote and us re-electing them, well it empowers them. There is one thing worse than a liberal democrat, and that's a RINO. I'm so pissed I could scream.

This bill is fundamentally flawed because it was drafted by the very same people who created this fine mess. I especially like the part where bankruptcy judges can rewrite the terms of a loan so that a homeowner may stay in his home longer to avoid foreclosure, but they will foreclose, won't they? Contracts are legally binding documents and with this legislation we have completely undermined the power of a contract. Right? Am I wrong? Please tell me I am.

Sorry, mixing terms here. I'm specifically talking about re-writing the terms of a mortgage to avoid foreclosure. Isn't that still in?

The cherry on top would have been a Lay/Raines comparison. Both did the same exact thing, but one was convicted, and the other is now on Obama's campaign.

what happens down the road is an utter economic collapse. I have read enough to know that the trifecta of debt, lack of capitalization, and bad policies mean the end of the world as we know it.
LOOK, I am not exactly wild about the central government getting into the mortgage business, but I am far enough in the foodchain in my professional life to know that credit was evaporating for major corporations. it is just a matter of time before consumer credit goes away for consumers.
