2. Other. Any sexism is too much--but I haven't seen any in regards to her. She IS flirtatious,

flighty, and not very bright. Virtually all of the criticism I've seen about her is in regard to these points.

It's SPECIFIC to her--not to women in general, and thus, not sexist. And those on both sides who can't understand that don't understand what sexism is.
  :whatever:

5. Are the Pumas setting up another bogus controversy?

As a female, I am damned sick of it...

NO she is not being treated inappropriately, sexist, or whatever... Quite the contrary.

8. How can there be sexism when she uses sex and beauty to sell herself?
She's the beauty-queen candidate--she is a sexist caricature of a female politician. A serious female politician (McCaskill, Hillary, Sebelius, Snowe, etc.) doesn't do that.

12. Exactly. Her behavior was unprofessional. She used sex to sell
herself. We simply call it what it is.

28. Vast amounts.
I've lost track of the number of attacks on her that would never, ever have been launched at a male candidate.

Many left-wingers are "opposed to sexism" as a matter of tribe warfare, not on underlying moral principle; they line up on the side labelled "anti-sexist" or "feminist" on issues where left fights right, because that's the side their gang is on rather than because it's the right thing to do. Sexist attacks on right-wingers aren't something covered by tribe warfare, so we see lots of them.

30. as a feminist since I was 12, I don't see anyone blatant sexism toward Palin.
She's the person that is winking and licking and shimmying her way thru the campaign.
Meaning she doesn't act like a trollish uptight Dyke so obviously she's a brainless slut.

40. Enough with Palins double standard!
Enough with everyone saying Biden is not allowed to attack Palin because she is a women. Are we, the american women, so stupid to actually say "I wont vote for him he yelled and said she was wrong!", Seriously this is beyond "PC". Palin herself is on video saying that no women should cry "sexism" if she cant take it in the man's world of politics. She herself says she finds that "weak" and would never want to be portrayed as that, she believes that being able to hold your own with the men, not be protected from them, is the way to show you are a strong women...which is one thing i can agree with her about. But has she played it that way...NO. She's been more then happy to handicap the democratic ticket in order to prevent them from attacking her...because she is a women and according to all political analysts, attacking her will not "poll well" with women...again, Seriously?

Oh, but don't forget, sir.

The primitives aren't lining up to support Cynthia McKinney.

We all know what Cynthia McKinney is.

And so the primitives are being not only racist, but sexist.

The only reason they aren't supporting McKinney is because she now belongs to the Green Party. Back when she was a Georgia Democrat, she could do no wrong in their eyes, regardless of how obviously insane she was. Any attack on her was immediately deemed racist AND sexist, rather than the "stupidist" that it actually was.

I think that you're onto something.  The Green Party's "base" (yeah, I know that four voters spaced across the US isn't a lot, but they do vote Green consistently) would be lining up for the Obamessiah if it wasn't for her.  Therefore, she is anathema to DU.

Is there any doubt among sane people that if Palin were a lib Dem who had the same family situations and the same mannersims she does now that she'd be the darling of the DUmmies, and those who were saying the very things they are saying about her now would be labeled as sexist?

You know, you could take the DUmmies and document what they're doing now, then if you had a time machine and could go back and make Palin a lib Dem and document that reaction, and then sit the DUmmies in an auditorium and compare how they acted with her as a conservative compared to how they acted towards her as a lib, and thereby point out their hypocracy, they'd still find a way to lie to themselves that it was completely different.

So it's not sexist, because the stuff they are saying is about Palin specifically, not women in general, but it IS racist if we talk about Obama specifically, not black people in general?   Gotcha.  :whatever:
