what to do about xmas
I have told my children and grand children to make their xmas cards on line.
for my children I told them to limit their gifts to their children to less than $50 per child. for the rest of the family a picture of their family taken by them and processed on their computer. to refuse to charge. for my wife and I need no trinkets.
a family picture will do us fine. my wife and I will spend a $1000 for all our family;
$4000 less than last year.
I want to send a message to our businesses and our representatives(esp. our senators in Maine) that business as usual is off limits.
It's time we send a message with our pocket book!
trickle down never worked ! and your now going to live the proof.

1. Our nanny announced that they were planning to give no gifts this year.
She was apologetic, and I'm like "no need to be apologetic to us." Like we need more useless crap anyway.
Anyway, signs of the times. Not good.
Nice...

That's sad. Another DUmmie will spend Christmas sitting in his basement blaming everyone else for his own misery.
Eh, cest la vie. :-)

Our nanny announced
This is great!! DUmmy oneupmanship!
We spent $5K on Christmas. Well, that's nothing, we can afford a nanny. Na, na, na, na.
And you know they are both sitting there in their underwear, in a hovel, or a double-wide, or someone else's basement, with at least one foot on an empty Papa John's box.

Giving the primitive the benefit of the doubt, the nanny may be refering to a grandmother.

Holy crap! Even $1000 would be a lot for my family.

What business does this DUmmy have telling their kids to put a limit on gifts for their children?

Spending within their means will be a first for 98% of the DUchebags.
Maybe there are positive benefits to the financial mess.

We're putting a strict limit on Christmas spending also...thanks to the Dim legislators and judges that have decreed full child support PLUS college costs until 21. :censored:

Consumerism is not the reason for the season. :hammer:
