Happy end o' week CC.

My lovely wife took the day off of work today and I slept in till the obscene hour of 8:30 and woke up all discombobulated and... Well Rested. *gasp*
Cleaning today to get everything ship shape for the Mancubs Birfday party tomorrow. Gotta go grab kid fare and a cake at Cub Foods. Might take advantage of the absense of kids this afternoon. :2ndbase: :evillaugh:
We are going to meet with an Otterhound breeder on Sunday and get introduced to their beasties with an eye toward getting one. We are looking for something that is useless as a show dog but fine as a house companion. Put a lot of research into breeds and decided that they were a good fit for us.

They top out at about a hundred pounds and are considered to be the clown princes of the hound world.

I'm still in recuperate mode from this stupid head cold...sitting outside at football last night didn't help me feel any better. :banghead:
I'm trying to come up with something to fix for dinner, but am still unmotivated.
Tomorrow is looking to be a day from hell for me...too many things to do/places to be. I may be certifiable by the end of the day!

My runnin' buddy has what you have, Flame....she's been miserable all week. Don't know if she will feel well enough for our routine Saturday lunch and retail therapy time. I'm feeling the need for a visit to the Dollar Tree over in Oak Ridge....it's huge and much more fun with someone else. Besides...we talk each other out of some stuff....and into other stuff. :whatever:
The four of us usually have dinner together on Friday or Saturday or both...but not sure if we will tonight because of the way she's feeling.
UT's game starts at 7 tomorrow night....so I guess we'll be in front of a TV somewhere....waiting for humiliation. :censored:

We are not going to be bringing one home, lol.
The breeders take their dogs to Westminster for shows, so we couldn't afford one from them if we wanted to. Plus they only breed one litter a year.
We are just going to meet their dogs and see if the breed is a good fit. Then we will find some less prestigious breeders in the area and look into getting a pup. I think we are going to have a new four legged family member by Christmas time though if not sooner.

I had great intentions last night. I actually got in my bed early thinking when the alarm goes off I can actually make it to work at 8am. Well, I laid there not able to sleep, so brilliant idea, I took a benadryl to knock me out. That it did. I apparently turned my alarm off this morning when it went off and didn't wake up until 8:15.
I have a lab at school this afternoon. It's supposed to last until 5pm, then it's Oktoberfest time! w00t! :cheersmate:

Having a not so good day. Room-mate is moving in, and it doesn't look good, based on her loud and obnoxious pals that are helping her move in. Guess I'll be moving off-campus next semester after all, unless I make my opinions on loud and obnoxious behavior known to the newbie. :banghead:

Kids were off today, already been to my middle child's teacher conference this morning and then the pumpkin patch and lunch out. Trying to crank out a couple of my lecture tapes before heading to belly dancing class :o I'm certain I'll never want to look in a mirror again if she makes us wearing those jingly things and expose our 'mom bellies' :p. In all seriousness though, I was doing some yoga positions and stuff last night and my strenght and flexibility have improved so much. I'm amazed even at what I can do. I'm totally digging that I committed to this in the new year! WOOT! And I just realized in the past couple of weeks that I've been doing this almost a year--it's habit now--I actually changed my habits in regards to eating and working out--THAT.ROCKS! And the belly dancing is just for fun. I expect my girls and I will be laughing the entire time through it. :-)
Just me and the kids tonight. When I'm done with the above, we'll be grilling some 'dogs', making some mac and cheese and salad and making some hot chocolate and watching a movie together after we dig out some of the Halloween decorations. It's really been a great day with the kids!
Tomorrow, more lectures and we'll be getting some things done around the house that need to be done before the really cold stuff gets here in short order. Halloween decs will actually go up tomorrow too. Gonna be a blast, except for the lecture part. :thatsright:

Hey BEG....when you get time, and if you don't mind....let me know if you are pleased. Been thinking about doing it but I want to know someone who has already done it.
I'm back from having it done. It didn't hurt too bad although they prescribed me numbing cream that I had to put on an hour before the procedure. You have to put saran wrap over it because if air hits it the numbing effect doesn't work. I felt like I was wearing a diaper that I had pooed in.
It takes two weeks for the hair to fall out. I have to go back in 6 weeks to get anything she missed and also any hair that wasn't in the growth phase at the time. This is the same aesthetician that did a peel and a little laser treatment on my chest. She gave me some expensive eye cream because I was complaining that the skin under my eyes were so dry. She gave me a jar of Obagi Elastiderm eye cream. It really surprised me. She says she loves it. I'll let you know how I like it after I've used it for awhile. It really surprised me that she gave it to me. I think she likes me. :-)
