Joe Biden’s his own worst enemy

Joe Biden was doing OK for a while last night . . . until he turned into Joe Biden. About 9:45 last night, Champ’s carriage turned into a pumpkin.

Joe Biden is a man of the people. Why, he does the same things just like you and I do. How do we know this? Because Joe Biden told us last night.

“I was recently at my local gas station.”

Recently? Is that how you describe your visits to the “local” gas station. Hey, Joe, did you notice on your most recent visit - they don’t sell leaded gasoline anymore.

You want more proof that Joe Biden is Joe Six-Pack?

“Walk into Home Depot with me where I spend a lot of time.”

To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, if a man will lie to you about hanging out at Home Depot, he’ll lie to you about other things as well.

Home Depot? What was Sen. Biden picking up, chlorine for the pool? It surely wasn’t a hammer, or work gloves. When did the Home Depot start selling arugula?

Actually, I was hoping for more gaffes in St. Louis from Champ, which is his childhood nickname, don’t you know. Champ gives him the common touch. Guys named Champ hang out at Home Depot.

He’s from Scranton, in case you forgot. He’s from “a neighborhood just like you grew up in.” You know, the kind with local gas stations.

They obviously had the muzzle on Palin last night. I wish she’d have corrected him on things like the economic “fundamentals” (Barack says the same things), or hit on Barack’s massive contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Let’s just say, the undercard on Fox - Bill O’Reilly vs. Barney Frank - had more fireworks in five minutes than they had in 90.

But God, what a pompous windbag Joe Biden is. The man is a hack’s hack. He tried to restrain himself, but as the debate wore on, despite the endless fake smiles, the real Joe Biden began to leak out, the Joe Biden who refers to himself in the third person, as in, “No one has been a better friend to Israel than Joe Biden.”

After 36 years in the Senate, he’s against domestic abuse. Wow, he took on that powerful special interest, Big Wifebeating.

Oddly, the only one of his numerous recent gaffes to get mentioned was brought up by Obama hagiographer Gwen Ifill, who drew blood with his comment about “clean coal.”

To which he responded:

“‘A comment made on a rope line was taken out of context.’

Oh yes, the old taken-out-of-context excuse. He ain’t Shoeless Joe, he’s Alibi Ike.

As it went on, he just turned into the Joe Biden we all know and laugh at.

Joe Biden says “20 million of you” are going to be taxed. Because people like him, as opposed to people like “you,” don’t have to worry about health insurance, just like they don’t have to worry about being attacked for averaging $369 a year in charitable contributions over the last decade on an income of between $210,000 and $321,000.

I know, the mainstream media will say he won. So what else is new? See you around the gas station, Champ.

Biden is the Dems own worst enemy next to Nancy Pelosi.

Sadly, I couldn't watch the debate. Literally, I just couldn't.

After about the first 20 minutes, I just couldn't stomach watching and listening to Joe Biden for another nanosecond.

His....what's the word?....smarminess... was just way too much for me to stomach.

As much as I wanted to see and hear Palin, I just couldn't get past Joe opening his piehole.

I watched a little bit of the debate.  My daughter laughed when she saw Biden, said "He looks like Scrooge!"

I wished you would have held out and watched her.  She did very well up against the perpetual "story teller".

Just as a followup to the reference to Pelosi up above I wanted to mention something I heard today. This was on the radio while i was in the car and they had just announced that the bailout bill had passed. They replayed short speeches by Bush, Pelosi and Boehner. Bush and Boehner were both gratious and thanked 'Speaker Pelosi' and majority leader Steny Hoyer by name. They thanked Barney Frank as well as a number of other Dems before mentioning a single Rep. Pelosi on the other hand went thru a long LONG list of Dems, never did mention a single Rep or even Bush who pushed this idea initially. All she did was jerk off her fellow Dems and then slam the 'failed policies' of the Bush administration for causing this mess in the first place. Childish, petty and vindictive. What a piece of....work.  :loser:

That's why I don't watch the debates on the teevee... I go for the online audio stream if the local station isn't carrying the entire program.

I had to listen to a few co-workers rave about Biden today. They were all of the opinion that he's "experienced' and "knows what he's talking about". I almost started to ask if today was Irony Day or somethnig.

Joe Biden was probably chosen by Obama, so when he loses, he's he fall guy. I am surprised that Obama chose him to begin with. If he wanted to be portrayed as an "outsider", he would choose someone like Heath Schuler.

I might have gotten that far but after seeing the bored look in Bloviating Joes face and Sarah taking it to him I knew how it was going to end up.

He said "100,000,000 American familes are...." something "dreadful. Now, a familty means to me, at least 2 and, an average family is more than three. Using 3, 100,000,000 X 3= 300,000,000 . That's EVERYBODY!the man's the complete blowhard.

either he was mic'ed terribly or he had a mouth full of mashed potatoes, he sounded awful and he was flat as a pancake after falling immediately back on his heels to Palin's points.  Had to fake a little emotion to turn it around.  that one was so planned it wasn't funny.  It was painful to see him twist that into a counter to her fretting about bills around the kitchen table thang.

what a tool...

And now just yesterday I think it was that Biden said if NObama is elected other nationss will go out of their way to 'test' him? Thats a real inducement to vote for the guy. I would so love to be a fly on the wall for the conversations between Biden and NObamas campaign staffs, lol.

Think that anurism is still bleeding  into his brain, and has gotten into his "discression" area in the brain. Joe's going into seclusion when Barry gets back from his visit to his Grandmother's sick bed.

Looks like champ is doing everything he can to sink Barry's chances at winning. Could he be that bitter at losing to Barry the Ears? Biden didn't even get into Iowa let alone past it.
